Gave my daughter the small green one from my early 20's. Keeping the longboard from my mid 20's. I used to ollie grab that bitch off speed bumps. Going to get some wheels on the fat board and try out the Benicia skatepark again. Just healed from a recurring back issue so I'm about due for an injury.

 

Haha I had a 6'6" msf g2. I thought it looked familiar. Rode it in Hawaii too. V-land, diamond head, and Kewalos. Had it on consignment at a shop and it sold. Few weeks later it was on the repair rack with a lot of dings. I guess first session the guy got clocked by it and broke his arm. Board went to the rocks and paid the piper. I think it was mad at me.

I have a 10' Hap Jacobs classic, a 9'6" Pearson Arrow Josh Mohr, a 6'6" FCD Huevo Ranchero, and a 6'2" ci fish that all magically turned into truck parts...

I still have 7 boards, none of which are going anywhere

@BudMan my go to's.....i have another twin keel but i don't ride it much these days. i'd just stripped the wax on both of em in this pic....i decided a portrait was in order

 

its warranted...that fear. i've been in the water with more Great Whites than i like to admit. up real close to one once. by less than ten feet. FUCK marin county....never surfed that place again....
there's places i used to surf years ago that i look back now and wonder wtf was i thinking lol....hella sharky ass spots along hwy1 between HMB and SC...after i got custody of my son in 2005, when he was 10 i really kinda stopped surfing big stuff and sketchy spots. i'm pretty boring now. about the most off grid sharky spots i go to now are Big Sur. Thats primarily where i surf now only

crazy...i remember catching Sean Rhodes in the parking lot at Rockaway and getting him to custom shape me boards for $350. times have changed

 

man don't even get me started on Point Break...i love that shit lol "bhodi's a soul surfer, he'll take you to the edge....past it"

 

i love Santa Cruz...but im goofy foot so i kinda only go there when Pacifica/HMB/OB are like 10-15 solid...then Capitola jetty left is FUN....that and Bombora reef down out in front of those cliffs...i've gotten stand up left barrels out there

Rad man. I’m goofy too. Haven’t been out in while especially since my car accident in June. I’ve been trying to shave off my food/beer belly cause my short board doesn’t float me anymore lmao

Still got 3 Stewart long boards at my parents place I grab and surf SC sometimes though. Goal for this winter is build back strength in my shoulder and get back out there next summer.

My parents are in San Ramon too btw. Close to Lafayette. If I’m ever down there I’ll let ya know. Dad got his masters way back in the day at Saint Mary’s. I was invited to play lacrosse their but I wanted to move away.

 

i don't blame you for wanting to leave....Lafayette is, well, it's perfect for SOME people...not us. Its nice and safe and all that, but it ain't my kind of people. my gal did two years at St. Mary's too- we are just waiting for her to finish up her two years of school, then get started in her career, so about 5-6 years from now, we aim to be living in Oregon, Portland area or within an hour of the city. We love it up there....so sick of California, the bay area in particular. traffic is getting so bad. they just keep cramming more and more people into an area that doesn't have the infrastructure for it. its turning into a mini Los Angeles.....
