I've been looking around for a great car polish that will give my Taco an ultimate shine. Something I can purchase at a local parts store that doesn't require multiple products and an all day project. I've heard people mention Turtle Wax's Ice and Zaino. Although Zaino seems to involve multiple products and an all day project.

To answer your "The best car polish for the ultimate shine" question I would have to say Zaino. I've never used the stuff myself bet I have seen it in action and WOW!!! If it can maake a 2005 WRX STI that is raced at Sears Point monthly look showroom clean then I'm sold. To get the best result you can't half ass it. Get the good stuff and spend the time doing the work. Amother thing is there is alot that goes into washing the car as well.

I was going to ask the same question from RCact436.

I had one friend of mine here at work that did not know the difference (he only used polish and not wax) and could not under stand why his car stayed so shiney, but his primer paint was starting to show after several years. To make a long story short, he had to get his car repainted and now uses wax, not polish (unless he needs to).

has anyone heard of a product called astro shield? I have used it in the past and it leaves a slick feeel to your paint but it doesen't last that long. I like Zymol it seems like its good as anything else but this seems to still be up for debate on what is the best

i like turtle wax ice. i think its ok, definitely not like mothers or meguiars, as it doesnt last all that long, but it does a good job of beading water and leaves a pretty good shine, plus it goes on and comes off easily, jmo!
