    Like, so many.
Previous truck was an 04 Frontier DCLB. I wanted a Taco, but couldn't afford one.
My first truck (which my grandad left me when passed) was a 94 Ford Ranger. I loaned it to a friend and well...

Not to be a jerk, but always remember, "Friends, don't let friends, family or (fill in blank) borrow their Tacoma"

Rangers and S-10's, it's OK, as you have experienced.

    I just traded a 2015 GMC Sierra for a 2017 Taco Trd Sport 4x4 yesterday. Before the GMC I had a 2012 Prerunner, 2006 Prerunner and a 2003 4x4, all double cabs.

Why did you trade it in, if I may ask? Any issues? Better Truck forum?

Still have it. Can't seem to bring myself to part ways with it just yet after 15 great years. Need to sell before too long....but it's gonna sting a little to see it go!

Door seals leaked, Got tired of GM customer care, Didn't like the cable dip stick, Or the cheap plastic lever to adjust the back of the seats, Didn't care for the way you open the gas tank door, I had it built without the back seats and that deleted the carpet and they put black vinyl on the floor which I would not of minded if they would not of pieced it in. I could tell it was going to curl up at the seams in a year or so. Had a couple more things I did not like but I cannot think of them at the moment. Oh, the seats hurt the back of my legs...

I do miss the V6 and the step on each rear bumper corner, Those were nice.

This is my 5th Toyota truck since 1986, the list of them are in my signature. I also have a 99 Miata that I've owned since new.

Wife's cars are all over the place when it comes to type.

I don't / won't have a 3rd gen, but I may have had the ugliest truck as my first truck and 2nd vehicle. :anonymous:

In '70 I picked up a '59 Chevy Apache 3/4 ton, long bed, step side. 235 ci 6, 4 speed w/granny 1st, 4:76 rear. Split rims. Oil bath air cleaner, no oil filter, engaged starter by pushing pedal on the floor. No turn signals, no reverse lights, no jukebox, manual drum brakes and manual everything else too. But it did have a heater.

It was an awesome vehicle to locally tow open trailered cars to the drag strip with, haul heavy crap and drive in foul weather / flooded streets.

Retro fitted with Sears Roebuck rubber flooring and vinyl seat cover, as well as many other mods. Including adding turn signals, a radio and manual back up lights. :D

Later I had a '67 El Camino, which would haul a surprising load. Short distances.

I then got smart and built a utility trailer out of an old boat trailer, leaving the tilt feature in place. Fitted with 13" Vega wheels/tires it would haul quite the load, was uber cheap to own, and I worked it for years.

    Bought a '98 Sonoma in '05, and the '13 5 lug Tacoma in '15.

And about 50 cars mixed in with all that. Most plebeian transport, a few muscle, GT and sports.

Well let me just list the vehicles I've owned in general. First a 1988 Yugo GVX, I know your all laughing, but I loved that little car but parts became nearly impossible to find. Easy to work on. I could drop the tranny and replace the clutch all in a couple hours by myself, haha. Next a 1994 Plymouth Voyager, also a great vehicle got rid of it with 220k in great shape still. A 1996 Chevy Blazer, a piece of crap as was the 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada that came afterwards as the GM stuff is cheap problematic junk in my opinion. A 2000 Chrysler Sebring Limited convertible came next, a good fun car, but not practice for me as a handyman. Now to the trucks, I got a nearly free 1995 Dodge Dakota with the 5.2 V8, the trans wasn't working correctly, I dropped the pan and it just ended up being the band strut had fallen out due to lack of regular adjistments so a pretty easy fix and I got another couple years out of it. Finally I got another Dodge Dakota, this time a 1995 with the V8 from southern PA because I loved my other Dakota so much, but now I had 4×4 in the new one so it was much more capable. Earlier this year my wife finally convinced me that I should get a new truck because my Dakota was having some rust issues now and I didn't feel comfortable loading it up or towing with it. I said that if I was buying new I was getting what I want with the options I want, so here I am with my 17 TRD OR A.C. and I love it, although I miss the simplicity of my Dakota sometimes, I don't miss the road noise and lack of creature comforts. Unfortunately Chrysler dropped the Dakota line and has been putting out cheap crap for the last 10 or 15 years with reliability issues. I knew Toyota's were good trucks with high reliability and great resale value. I love my Taco and it should be with me for many years.

It was a her, so no lol
If it had been my only vehicle I would have been more upset, but the insurance ended up giving me more than I thought the truck was worth, so it worked out ok.

I've had many cars but my first truck was a 92 Ranger 4x2 Sport 4.0 5 speed with a 3.55 posi, it was a regular cab with factory bucket seats and a full console. I loved that truck. I traded it in on a 1995 Mustang GT with a dealer installed supercharger and many other goodies, I loved that car too. After that I had a '93 Probe GT, then a '98 Integra GS-R, then a '94 Mustang GT and finally an '05 Mustang GT. I kept the '05 GT and bought my second truck, a 2008 Tacoma DCSB TRD Sport 6 speed, which is what I traded in on my current truck. I sold the Mustang a month ago because I wasn't using it much since my daughter was born in 2015 (although the car seat did fit and she loved the car) and used that money to buy a 2010 Mazdaspeed 3. It's almost as fast as the Mustang but gets 50% better mileage and with it's 5 doors, is much more convenient family duty. Now I have two blue vehicles and they both have a factory hood scoop...with the added bonus that the scoop on the MS3 is functional! 21762319_10159439277630512_6437888841392_059ecef6cd96e086b63fff607c3d95f472b73edc.jpg
