Getting in on this, I think that would be a really nice option for mounting devices. Given the Entune Plus nav is crap, I'd be using my phone or a tablet anyway.

I'm wondering if a USB port could be mounted in there, so you could use a short USB cable to power whatever device or devices you have mounted up there, to avoid having cables run up from the lower 12v or USB port.

This is exactly what I am looking for! Was about to pull the trigger on an Un-Holey mount. Would love to have a single mounting point for both phone and tablet. If you need testing done in the hot/humid weather in Georgia, let me know.

it could be that he got in trouble because he only had 8 messages and was trying to "be a vendor". if thats the case, its stupid. but could be. seems this forum is pretty big on those weird rules.

The rules are based on years of experience, scams, clusterfucks, and legal issues, some of which required the owner @tcBob and his staff to spend great time and expense unfucking. They are in place for good reason.

    Enjoy the ride.

He said in another post that he had 2 accounts, and one was disabled. https://www.tacomaworld.com/members/freshmexicantaco.201659/

Anyways, give him some time guys, these projects for most are just an after work hobby.. An attempt to solve a simple problem and make a few bucks on the side, but obsessive forum users are always in a hurry. I had the same problem on another forum when I was 3d printing some parts. A little bit of patience goes a long way.

I'm currently using a Magbak magnetic strip that is double sided taped to the dash trim, with another Magbak magnetic strip that is JB welded to the back of an Otter Box case cover for my 10" iPad mini...sound complicated? It's not - but it's also not really reliable. Have already had to replace the double sided tape twice, so YES, I NEED this mounting system!!!

Now quick - where's the "Buy Now" link already??? o_O

Got tired of waiting... made my own version (for now). I'll probably buy OPs version if/when it comes out. I have plenty of metal support under the dash piece. Super solid. We'll see how it works when I run my iPad w/ Hondomount big squeeze.

I've got a 6in arm on a suction cup to the window and X grip while I wait. The mount puts the phone just past the edge of the dash in the perfect spot. The 1.5in arm was a no go.

Thankfully, I had everything but the suction cup.

I was hoping that it would stick to the top of the dash, but it didn't. I even tried some vaseline to help. No go.

If we both make it to c&c I will need to take a gander at this. I've been considering it myself. Don't mind waiting for the op to get house product ready but an update would be great!

Sand the side of mount so it fits in the space. I popped the dash piece, marked my holes and made sure to use some big spacers and nylon nuts. Super sturdy, 20min project.
