yup.. i got the same one for my pre-runner.

 

I have the same y-pipe. It doesn’t drop below the crossmembers.

 

I'm just taking the stock y-pipe off now, it looks like I'll need a big crush gasket where the new y-pipe meets the rest of the exhaust. Does anyone know is it worth a trip to the dealer for that or does autozone or other aftermarket work just as well?

 

so, just checking out the new URD website. I def don't think anything was wrong with the old one. BUT I will say Gadget updating the site is a good thing overall. It means business is flowing in (website redesigns, I imagine, are not necessarily cheap) and its a fresh look but still keeping some of the older feel (colors, layout, pics). I know this doesn't relate to performance that we are talkin about, just throwing it out there.

I think u need a URD gasket for it to not leak, URD are way thicker

 

I re-used that gasket. No issues.

 

Definitely need the URD gaskets for where the Y meets the headers. The one in the back where the Y meets the exhaust isn't a big deal, at least on my truck with 33K miles. Older trucks may possibly need a new one.

 

Thanks guys, I did order the URD gaskets for the two header flanges, and I stopped by a dealer this afternoon and got the bigger gasket for the end of the y-pipe.

 

Out with the old and in with the new!

Yes, new y-pipe is already in, next the O2 sensors and done!

Yeah later if I get a chance, although I did start it up and it sounded kinda ricey when I gave it a little gas in neutral. If it sounds too raspy on the road I'll have to figure out what size resonator will fit the stock exhaust pipe

 

I just re-read that you have DT headers. Your current combo, headers and Y, will have a noticed raspiness. Plus or minus, depending on how good the catback with muffler is. It may be to your liking, but there is also a high probability that you'll want to add in a resonator.

Which, installed right after the Y outlet, in the catback section, has been proven to be very effective at negating the rasp, and maturing the sound.

 

Thanks Torspd, I just measured the OD of the stock catback pipe and it looks like 2 3/8".

Just got back from a little ride. Overall it sounds fine until I'm in boost, then that nasty can full of rocks sound. Other than that the stock muffler handles things nicely; however, now I can hardly hear the supercharger anymore when I get on it. So I've decided I'll get a vibrant ultra quiet, but need to figure out what size. The stock pipe is 2 3/8" OD, so either a 2 1/4" will go inside, or the 2 1/2" on the outside. I'm sure someone must have already put one on a stock system so I'll search some threads. If anyone already knows offhand what works best I'd appreciate any input
