Im just glad that my suspension is finally getting collected to complete my LT. Then after that starts the reinforcement phase and gears and tires for dirties.

I assume putting tabs on a stock third gen taco LCA? Does it have the proper build to handle one? Would be cool to know the feasibility of a stock LCA to handle bypass tabs.

I have bypasses and air bumps off the lower arm and still have the oh shit moment and slam the front end thru all that. I would never run without any bumpstop. It's just asking for all kinds of trouble. On my class 10 single seat buggy I got away with using the beam as a bump stop but the front end only weighed 200 lbs.

Attached photo is why you should run limit straps. This was from a rocky road, the wheel is constantly dropping out over rocks and onto the limit strap. He didn't prep his shit and didn't have the limit straps on, pulled the shock apart in 25 miles.

Bottom line--you must stop the wheel in both directions!

Yea I might ask them, I know they stopped making the lower bolt on shock mount cause no one wanted to buy fabbed stock length arms just for shock mounts, there's a icon bypass mount and lower mounts for sale on here but he won't respond.

Reminds me of my friends tundy lol

    Who's bypasses you buying? hahaha.

When I was going to put these on my truck I was just gunna do it the good ol' tried and true way. Take the coils off the coilovers, bottom out everything, then build a custom hoop and tabs on the stock LCA. I know you have some decent fab ability, just gotta take the time to cycle it and get it set up. TC used to sell the weld on yourself tabs with their secondary shock mounts until they started selling the stock LCAs. And I think they still sell their 1st gen setup this way, weld on to the stock lower. I know you have DK UCAs so it will be one of those things where you probably want to cycle it all anyways to make sure the collection of parts are working together correctly.

Call TAV. He does 16 tacos enough, you could probably get a spare set of 16+ LCAs to weld to. Then put yours on the shelf.

First gen guys that want to keep 4x4 manual hubs with Tundra CV's: I asked about getting some axle shafts to connect them from RCV and this is what I got back:

    Hello,

If you are in need of a hybridized axle shaft to mate the two vehicle models than yes we can do this. You are looking at roughly 600-700 for the the pair of axle shafts. This is without the CV joints.

We do require the axle to be dissembled to avoid shop charges. If disassembly is needed it will be 100.00. Same goes for reassembly of the axles.

    Regards,

    Christian

I'm sure you could fabricate something. I have a set up for mine to mount 2 little momentary switches for horn or PTT. Could probably make something similar. Mine are just cheap mounts off Amazon.

The answer is also no. Lower control arm uniball mount for the spindle puts a bolt right through the back of the spindle where the axle would poke out. Fixing that situation by buying a Solo XLT kit. Not looking forward to the price.
