Am I asking for trouble if I put the orange cover on the led bulb?

Highly doubt it. LEDs run a lot cooler than halogen, so if anything you'd be doing it a favor.

For some reason I thought LED was warmer that shows you how much I know. It looks bright as hell in the daylight but we'll see how it holds up over time.

this is what I would put on there. I love them haha might even go this route on my truck instead of a bumper but I don't know yet haha we will see when the time comes hahaha plans are always changing

    https://www.relentlessfabrication.com/products/2014-4runner-stingray-lo-pro-winch-bumper

saweet man! that's some good stuff right there! hope they play ball but I guess its not the end of the world if they don't haha cant wait to see it installed
p.s glad to hear things are going well so far with the new born!

that's the same lift I would like to have haha seems like a common lift and everyone has good things to say about it. I got a quote from headstrong and at first I'm like wow that's not bad, then I convert it to CAD$$ and add shipping and I'm like nvm lol I mean its still not terrible but I just don't have 2k to drop like that right now haha that's why I'm trying to piece it together for cheap with peoples used parts haha

I do! people keep saying that I keep the truck so clean I will be able to get quite a bit for it once I sell it, and I'm like, what do you mean sell it? I didn't put all this work into it just to get rid of it lol

@EatSleepTacos whats your opinion on the difference between the 885 and 887 coils? would I notice any difference in ride quality? I have no weight at the moment up front but I will be adding full steel skids under the truck sometime soon

They're the same spring rate (590lbs) so they'll both ride the same. The only difference is the 887s are longer. On your truck, they'd give about 2.75" of lift, but then sag a little under load. I recommend getting 886 coils that are 660lb coils. They'll ride rough until you get weight up front, but it's worth it to not have to swap suspension again.

yeah I figured as much was just double checking haha I have done my research. honestly I wont be adding weight up front for a long time, other then some skids, the IFS, Tcase and Trans are about 150lbs combined but evenly spread so would that extra weight of the skids really be noticed on the front suspension?

Also according the headstrong lift guide they it says N/A for 886 coils on Bilsteins

p.s my buddy is a mechanic and would be ale to swap springs for me. the reason I am asking is because

yes, yes that is the one i have been looking at.

and only go with 886 if you decide for winch and front bumper. im sitting still at 3 or more with all the weight i have on mine after all these years.

yeah it would be years before I get bumper and winch. or at least that's what I think hahaha but it will be a while anyways haha

also if I go for the deal posted in the post above (I edited to add link) I would save myself 120 bucks lol

If you're only doing skids, then 887s would be great for you! And it's NA because they haven't personally tried it.
