i love .300blk, after building a few ar15s and ar10s. seems all the hype is built on suppressed .300blk
only reason i built mine is same reason why you're considering to build one. to use with our suppressors haha still waiting on my stamp too haha

i got my can for $260 brand new in 7.62 direct thread and $200 for the stamp. My shop just wants you to put 25% down on the can and pay the rest when the stamp comes back (7-11 month wait). but the longest part and hardest is just waiting for it to be processed through the ATF. So all in all if your patient and willing to pay the tax stamp, get one... Also google the "hearing protection act" its in the process of being passed

ya i won mine on a raffle page on Facebook. its addicting so i think id rather slowly build an upper then spend lots of money on trying to win some dope ARs.
i paid 250 for my trust setup then the stamp is 200 and now im waiting. paperwork was sent in on the 1st of the month so i still got a while but who can complain about a silencerco for 132$

First question would be what do you plan to use the upper for?

If just for plinking and fun...then 300blk is a fun caliber...especially subsonic suppressed. Supersonic also can hold its own on varmint and small game. But it really shines in the fact it can do all that out of a SBR length rifle...ie 8.5" or so. Going from 8.5" to 16" doesn't really net any gains. Velocity is basically the same between my 8.2" and 16" uppers and so is accuracy.

6.5 Grendel is a fun one too if you plan to shoot more distance shooting.

Course 223 is still good for most people too. I still grab my 223 AR's the most (between the 300blk and 458socom...and a 762x39 ive never shot) since its dirt cheap to shoot.

More for fun and to shoot with my suppressor. I have a m&p 15 5.56 so I got that covered

    Thinking a 10.5 blackout build

$675 but without the coat and stock I would say $500. Gotta think Anderson and psa our selling their lowers for $400-480 every weekend

Meh I posted it for $500 and I think that is fair. I did add the option for an optic and ammo for about $170 more
