Same here! I cruise around and see the occasional semi modded Taco but mostly are not really "hands on lets tear into your truck this week and then mine next" type of guys. I had a guy look at me weird when I approched him about his Taco. He was content to say "thanks" and continue with pumping gas lol felt like a fool

 I know the feeling. I sold some left over parts and was talking to the guy about the work I had done myself on tge truck. His response was "I got a guy that does all of that" :( ok then nevermind I tried talking Taco and my experience with upholstery, vinyl wrapping, paint ect :annoyed:

yeah, I feel your pain! but that's what TW is for I suppose haha ive got a couple friends who are mechanics and they love working on cars and will gladly help me and respect the plans I have for my truck, they have some pretty cool builds going them selfs but on cars which I respect as well. one buddy I have we can talk taco but he doesn't actually ever mod his truck, loves his taco and talks about what he would like to do but never spends a penny on doing anything hahaha

Mechanics make GREAT friends! My good friend Franky owns a shop. I am spoiled and get to go in use his lift & tools as I want. He always ends up helping out which makes it even better.

@Justanotherhemi You know I think most Taco owners think I'm nutz, then even more surprised when I tell them I did it own my own lol. Just a dying breed I guess we all are. Good luck waiting for AAA to fix your flat for ya bro ha ha

You have no idea! It really is a breed that will soon be extinct. I feel proud to say I took it apart, fixed it, made it better & put it back together. I guess I am not "bro" enough to have "a guy" :notsure:

Ha ha I feel ya, that's why my build thread has bench talk as part of the title. For those of us who talk the talk and walk the walk. Now if I can only stop moving so much so I can buy a welder and start learning how to mig and tig. Learned stick well but that stuff is useless and that was 10 plus years ago so I've forgotten it all anyways lol

Ha ha I'm with ya, we can just laugh at them while tow company's and what not show up lol. My abilities even has had my wife tell dealers f your warranty my hubby way better able to fix it better than your mechanics lol. That's a tough expectation to live up to sometimes, esp when your limited to wrenches lol.

Same here! Plus the lair is so damn time consuming, so I had to pick one or the other. Obviously the lair wins.

    Good Morin' Lair!

    :pccoffee:

Rough night. Little one must have woken up like 8 times last night. Was out looking for a pacifier at 1:30am.
