Brakes and wheels are now at the top of my priorities. Getting rid of these improperly fitting wheels (which is my wobble issue after all I discovered finally) and trying to go with a better setup over all.. But after much deliberation I still can't decide on which route to go... Albeit the used rims I just purchased, or all new wheels...
    But either way i'll be getting;
    -tundra brake kit
    -ss brake lines for front
    -stock length wheel studs
-all new rear brakes; shoes/cylinders/hardware/oem drums

I kinda wanna just get some proper fitting (hub centric) SCS Ray10's and not even mess with these used rims. But man they's gone be $$$!
They've supposedly got some of their SWEET brushed gold versions coming out with a new batch release soon. BUT.. The golds are only gonna be offered in 17's (from now on and never 16"!) UGH!!! Idk why, but I just don't think i'd like the look of 17's on my 1st gen.. sigh.

Idk I gotta keep looking... It's just a whole new shit-show right now. Ha. Idk.. I think I'm just gonna wait it out and not spend any money on anything until I see how the next batch of wheels go from scs. I may just say fuck it and get some new rims regardless of color and size. At least they'll fit properly! And with how I had planned on doing things with these used rims, it'll probly save me lots of time/money/hassle than dealing with swapping over tires and my tpms sensors over and over. ha...

But anyways... here they are!! These have 315's iirc. Not sure how they'd look with 305/70/17's on a first gen...

Hmm. Idk.. I kinda like the FN five stars better than the F5's and initially wanted those.. But then I kept looking at the ray10's and they grew on me, especially the golds. At first I didnt think twice about wanting "gold" rims, Ha. Until I sae them on that black 2nd gen and fell in love.. Because eventually I plan to paint/coat the truck a flat black and think they'd look killer on a black truck. But having anything smaller than 35's/315's it'd probly look blingish. Ha. I initially wanted some matte grey 16" ray10's. I shoulda freaking grabbed em on their last batch just recently. Ugh. And I bet this next batch will be all 17' s too. Ha. I just dont know.. Ill deliberate some more and see what happens with these scs next batch and go from there.

Great looking taco! I'm trying to get mine sitting like yours as far as the lift. About to close the deal on a fabtech 0-3.5" kit. If I read correctly, you've got 5100's and coils and just shackles? Ill have to replace all my shocks or at least the rear anyway because they're tired.

Yeah 5100's with eibach coils and Dakar leaf pack with greasable shackles(not lift shackles). It's not the best riding. But ok for the amount of lift I guess. Mostly the front that sucks due to those 620lb springs. Dakars seem really nice(but hard to appreciate it due to the front being terribly mismatched in quality) but im a bit biased as I don't have experience with anything else, so Idk how fabtech would compare.. But I've decided to stick with it for now. I really dig the added height and don't wanna go back down any more, let alone spend money on it right now. But I may swap to an all ome setup when it comes time to replace these 5100' s. Nitrochargers all around and ome coils.

Tundra brakes arrived and test fitted them with that set of 16" wheels I got.. Everything clears!!

Just gotta get brake lines and some 305's to slap on the wheels.

Got all new rear brakes; shoes, hardware, cylinders, bell cranks, and OEM drums delivered. Wanted to wait on tires and the front brake lines in case the tundra brakes didn't clear, otherwise I was just gonna stick with the 15"s wheels I have and get oem calipers and stuff... But ecstatic they work!! Should be able to do a stoppie after those puppies are on, lol.

Also got rid of the 1/4" spacers with extended studs. Hack-sawed the extended studs and put on some hub centric bora 3/4" bolt ons.

Old wheels are back on for now and took her for a test drive and ZERO vibes!!! Pretty sure all my balancing issues were due to those crappy 1/4" spacers.

Hopefully soon I'll get some new tires and then I'll tackle the front and rear brakes all at once. Can't wait!!

I recently mounted those tires on my truck, pretty light weight for 33in E rated and inexpensive too.

Yeah I was anxious about them seeing as they were so cheap and wondered about tread life being mt's. Looks like they fall a little short in size tho. About an inch both height and width. They look awesome tho I like em.. Being reading good things about them so far so we shall see. Wondering what to do about a spare. Probly just source a cheapy rim and tire for now.

Truck looks good too! Do you still have the front sway bar? I run the exact same suspension as you and often feel that the front is relatively soft. Opposite of what, you explained.

I've been keeping an eye out around town for you as well. Would think your truck will stand out around here.

    Spacers are from bora.

And thanks man. Yeah sway bar is still off. She seems to have softened up even more, finally, and rides a lil smoother and actually have a bit of sway now. But not too much. Seems like it took forever for them eibachs to settle in. Ha.. She is still kinda stiff compared to the rear, but it's pretty good and can't really complain anymore. I'll probly just leave it.

And I live (and now work) outside of maricopa a bit, towards mobile, so I rarely pass through town anymore.

Ahh,yeah I've had mine on for about 2 years now and the front is definitely softer than the rear.

Hm. Ok then so it sounds like I may still have some time yet before the eibachs settle in fully yet. Ha. I do plan on adding some more stuff up front, and rear, so it'll probly be even better by then.

Welp, I love em!!! Not sure I love the tires tho... They came up an inch short not being true to size. So I ended up with 32x11.5 instead of 33x12.5. Maybe I should try them in 35's and barely clear with 34's if thats the case with all their tires!? lol. Because they are a taaaad too small for my liking. Especially up front with the high clearance bumper and appearing too small by not stuffing in as well... Oh well... Plus they took a shit ton of weights to balance(more so on one, like triple) and have a slight vibe.... Sigh. They do ride super smooth though (D rated) with just a lil hum to em. Pretty quiet actually.

But enough about the tires... These wheels look SICK. Guys at discount were more in love than I was. Even customers. lol. But now that they're mounted up I'm really diggin the new look. May get some thicker spacers to go all around. Still have the 3/4" spacers up front and I'd still like them to poke out a tad more. But it does present a more suited look for the truck. More of a prerunnerish look, compared to the "crawler"(i guess) appearance before, seeing as she is just a prerunner(for now). Also bought and had them install another 'Orange Electronics' tpms retrofit kit for this set instead of reusing my old ones and potentially having them fail soon. As well as black spline drive et lugs, which pair perfectly with these rims! Then install my tundra brakes when I get time!

    On with the pic whoring!!!
(please forgive the state of cleanliness. Including the state of the exterior cosmetics; it's a slow work in progress... I also aired them down a bit, as you can see in the pics they were not riding flat)

What do you think about blacking out your truck? It's looking sweet with those wheels.

I have a set of spider Trac spacers that are 1.25" I would be willing to trade for your 3/4" ones...

Spidertrax? The ones that touted sells.

Yeah I thought about it. One of the last thungs on my list. Thought about bed lining the whole truck. But I think I'd rather spend the extra money for a paint job. Idk. Bed lining the flares at least is next on my list after I do the brakes. Then I'll be getting a matching relentless rear bumper. Not sure I'll black it out totally tho. Probly leave the grille chrome.

Hmm. Maybe! Are they hub centric? And a full set? I just have the pair up front. I wonder how deep the lug bores are tho because I had to chop my studs. Might not have enough grab with 1.25's. Would probly have to get new studs. Ha.
