Found a quiet place on the way back to the hotel to put my bedding up in the tent instead of taking up the back seat. I really want to go camping

Packed height is bigger, and mattress is thinner, no headliner, shell is textured, weird weather proof fabric around shell that doesn't make much sense, less interior storage, needs a little more effort to pop up, quicker to set up/ tear down, heavier. Mostly the same besides, I think the full pop is the way to go. I just needed a rear entrance tent for the time being because of the ladder on the rear of the canopy.

Oh I just noticed the ladder on the rear of the canopy folds out. That would be awesome with a full pop up hardshell with a rear entrance....

Its possible but would need a new fabric design

Its still nice, just needs some changes

Why would I sleep in a tent while I'm working in Chicago?

Ah, well would you have to have the ladder then or could that spot be used for something else like Rotopax or Jerry Cans?

Totally agree. Screw jacks are so much easier and faster. That took way too long. Didn't have time to watch the full video, so I just let that sweet inspirational music play while doing chores around the house.

Maybe a telescopic drop down leg? You've probably already thought about this though...

    Camper looks awesome!

This is what I'm thinking of doing, I hate to add another section of tube for stability reasons but oh well

Yeah it's the only time I stay in a hotel

I'm assuming on the back of the canopy? Yeah you can put whatever you want. Don't worry, in the end I'll have it set up to keep most happy

wow jeez seriously talk about over complicate things with those air bags, that is really time consuming.... clearly a hand crank would be faster...
imo only a matter of time until someone gets legs with these things built in

    0002293_air-jacks_870.jpg

any chance that rear bumper will be hitting the used market sometime this fall?

Awesome bro. I remember when you dropped off my tent that you didnt receive the other style tent, glad you still got it!

Also, i noticed you also have the full tent on your cab now, have you noticed the flexing/flapping of the tent at highway speeds? itll pop up and down around .5-1 inch when going around 65-75.

Yeah, I'll have it up sometime soon

Well the front tent is for @GC8Steve, I'm bring it to expo for him to save him on the drive west to St. Louis. It moves minimal but it's mostly the cross bar, Having it behind a fairing would be your best bet so it's not catching too much wind

I meant the triangular tent, I thought you said the manufacturer forgot to send you one of those?

Ah, I was supposed to receive both the new tent and the wedge, but only got the wedge. No big deal

I have a top of the line Yakima cargo box on my mini van, and it moves up and down quite a bit at freeway speeds. Doesn't seem like anything to worry about.
