Wait and don't get it now!

Reasons why: It doesn't have a USB port so transferring data anything else that could use a USB cable can't be used with the iPad. Also, you can't talk on the phone and be on the internet at the same time. If ya wait for the 2nd. Revision you would probably get some new useful features. :)

I have read to many mixed reviews.

IMHO if you want a computer buy a computer, whatever it may be. A lot of companies are making a huge profit off of society and the general idea of smarter computing.

I have spent the last 7 years in the information technology field of the DOD. Time and time again people of all ranks and idea fall to the luxury of want.

I have heard the IPAD is as close to a computer as you will get but yet it is not. So if you really want that then get a computer and if you want mobile then google fitpc. grab that and a liliput and install that in the taco.

Now you have Skype and IM and Google Maps and Email and phone tethering.

Other than that I am not much sure of the IPAD.

their stock doesnt do as well as you would think and its really expensive. if i were going to buy stock in a big company like that google is almost always reporting profit.

They are figuring a monthly fee for the 3G service, but you pay as you go with the iPad, no contract. And with Wi-Fi, you would probably rarely have to pay for 3G service.
