That's what I was thinking, but figure in some parts of the country. How ever that's just over half my monthly payment.

I always forget all of you live in California. I live in Missouri. This would buy me a decent 3-2 ($125-150k).

    He’s every salesman’s wet dream.

OP, you need to slow down do some research. After seeing your numbers I take back what I said in my earlier posts. Those numbers are fucking insane. Buy some lube, Preperation H for the anal soreness, and save your money.

I chose earthquakes over tornado’s. Everytime time I’m reminded how much others pay outside Cali I get a little closer to moving.

What about heat? I live in AZ and my mortgage is less than 730 a month for 4 bed/2.5 bath. (granted I put a decent amount down, but nothing extraordinary)

The only thing keeping me from Arizona is the crazy heat. Arizona being a pro gun state would defiantly work for me.

I live in Kansas City and with property taxes, likely PMI and insurance you're not getting a home in that price range for near that mortgage....maybe 1k...and if you're buying a 30k truck and a 100k home is your budget, I think you bought more truck than you should have.

My buddy in North Dakota pays $491 for his 3 bedroom 1 bath with a den.

You guys are depressing the fuck out of me now.

I don’t think that’s his general price range. Homes unfortunately go for that cheap in parts of the country.

Woah, woah, woah. I'm a single dude on a single income with student loans. Also STL is much more affordable than Kansas City. Who says I need more than a 3-2?

Since we are talking finances, here...your situations sounds temporary, like it was for a lot of us married dudes that can look back on that time and say if you're paying as much for your vehicle as you are your mortage, you should probably reprioritize that distribution and save more or pay down debt to set yourself up better for the future. Just my .02.
