Seems to happen in Yosemite every few years, just not usually where people are.

I still remember the Happy isle rock fall. I think it killed some people.

with the heavy snow fall this last winter and the recent activity along the san andreas fault
prob not exactly helping the situation

Wouldn’t figure a class of 13 year olds would be climbing on El Cap, but hope nobody was hurt. Climbers, kids or otherwise.

 

it sounds like the rock slide was on East Buttress and it sounds like the injuries were to climbers on the route

Samesies. Except ‘13 for college. Changed schools, switched majors, joined the army and a fraternity. Only a year longer is an accomplishment if I must say so myself.

Hey guys back in wifi range. Thanks for all the concern and my daughter and I are all good. Heard the first fall and saw three or four after. The noise was insane! Pretty cool experience to see but hope all is well with those injured.
