Long time car guy, first time truck guy...

Until now, the closest I've come to owning a truck is my '69 FJ40. I mean, it's a truck, but it lives in the woods and mostly gets used for fire roads. But as of today, I've swapped my daily driver 2-door Subie for a ... 2-door Tacoma. New off the lot, access cab/long bed, 4x4 V6, magnetic grey SR5. I mostly care about being able to sleep in it, get past chain control on the way to ski, and dirt/gravel fire roads. So this seems about right.

Now I'm trying to figure out the "must have" accessories, of course

Thanks for the welcome. My first desire is for a tonneau, to cover the bed in winter while I decide what kind of topper ... looks like there are lots and lots and lots of options!

Be careful asking about must have accessories on here. Next thing you know you'll need a full offroad rig.

Same boat. I've owned Jeeps prior to this (still have an XJ), and a few sports cars.
