    On one hand, there were no cell phones when I was a kid - on the other hand, all this shit still plugs into the same electrical outlet, basically unchanged for a hundred years... progress? I have no idea, but it's entertaining to see what we decide needs changin' and what don't..

    Speaking of changing plugs... I read once (but haven't verified) that Europe makes all cell phones have the same plug. All those old cords that go to the thrift store or landfill here are done. One style, crosses brands, keep one cord for a long time.

    Try this on your brain: the entire 'PC' exercise was a scam, a 30year scam, we are basicallly back to 'dumb' terminals using a 'mainframe'... the same place we were in the late 1960's... oh yeah, it's wireless and we say 'cloud' now, but it was a scam to sell every American a piece of status junk now landfilled...
