    Careful, imagine Toyota denies a frame replacement and lets say it fails and hurts someone. Who modified his frame? When you get your P.E. and have to take engineering ethics and law seminars dictated by your liability insurer you'll start to see how lawyers operate. Bloodsuckers look for anyone even remotely connected to go after.

    Mine's a CO truck too, I just happen to drive back to IN once a year.

    Wasn't aware we weren't a coating state. But after seeing the pictures and hearing about the product used from people who did qualify for coating but not replacement... I was gonna say pass on the coating anyway. Didn't want that crap dripping all over everything or making under vehicle maintenance even more of a mess. Not to mention I can't see how dirt and dust wouldn't stick in it and just make things worse.

    I don't think I've gotten a card yet for anything new. Maybe I should just stop in and ask about another inspection (or look into it next spring if I have until April). Still haven't done the latest leaf spring recall yet either.

    My 2006 only has surface rust on the frame. I guess that's a good and bad thing. No new frame for me I guess

    I have read through the settlement an inspection protocol, and it doesn't seem like sliders could be used as an out if the rust isn't associated with the sliders.

    I remember the first time I touched vagina, I too thought anything else I touched was worth more because of it. Then I realized I could touch other vaginas too. Things were better when I realized I didn't have to go through life only touching 1 and always wondering what others were like. Hopefully he gets better some day.

    @DaveInDenver @crolison

    Sliders do not in themselves void the warranty unless they (welds and paint removal) caused the perforation.

    Labor times do not include any extra for aftermarket add on's. If those add on cause extra work you will be charged. Toyota only makes certain that factory equipment works after repairs. There is a list of replaced components by Toyota, if any part fails due to rust that is not on that list that is covered, it is the customers responsibility (Shocks, exhaust, Skid plates). On average it costs about $500 to $1k to the customer for frame replacement extra parts and labor for the bad trucks with poor maintenance history.

    Chop your sliders off before you get your frame replaced if you want them back and to not get charged for the tech having to remove them to lift the cab off of the frame. Lights/aftermarket bumpers/extra wiring/winches should be removed to avoid costs.

    That's true in Alaska. I remember coming home and wondering why the mosquitoes looked so small then remembered they're just small compared to the pterodactyls (whoever decided to spell that dino this way is a tard btw) they have in Alaska

    Thanks for the input!!!!! Plus side is i'll probably have a month at least to un install most of the stuff. Anyone want to do an un mod day? And the only things below the frame rail that are old are the lower control arms and front wheel bearings.

    Bonus for you, the lower control arms are one of the things replaced. Did you get it inspected and it failed?

    My inspection is the 10th of October, but measuring the hole in my frame It should be a fail. The criteria is a rust perforation of 10mm in size or larger. The hole in my frame is right by the CAT and essentially the inner and outer frame layers have rusted and delaminated from each other.
