Friday the 13th at midnight... ominous right?!?!... I will officially be done with night shift

I accepted a position at Dell yesterday. I will start in late October. Dayshift and weekends. Been almost 14 years since I've had that schedule.

Also means wife and I will be joining you Canadians in North Austin soon. (sorry south siders )

 

Which Dell??? And what position??

We're looking at selling SOON. Already looking at homes up North. Not gonna do the North-South commute more than I have to.

 

Can't say that I blame you - That would be one crazy hellish commute from Parmer to DS every day.

We'll have to grab a beer once you resettle up this way; I'm only a couple miles from the campus.

Congrats man, too bad you got to sell the place but my commute typically is not bad. Good luck on the sale of the house and new house hunting.

I hear ya, we sold the house and lived in the fifth wheel behind the pool for 8 months...sold the 5th wheel a week prior to closing on the house. We snuck, well kinda in and out of the house with an air mattress for the last week until we go the keys...

 

We're hoping for a quick ish sell and hope to have a potential or two lined up so we can skip any in between uncertainties.

Didn't take a lot pic. It was late and I was irritated the dealer kept me there so long. Drove it off the lot with 3 miles on it. Only person to ever test drive it Never this clean again.

We are looking in the Cedar park area as well right now. all the way over to Manor and up to georgetown. Lots of options so far.

I sure hope so. That'd be the weekend before I start the new job and although we'll be busy cleaning and posting up the house, a camping trip is so needed and overdue. I'll keep pushing for it for sure
