So yesterday I was in Downtown, parked in a parking structure. They had a 3 hour validation going and my time was almost up, so I moved my truck to a parking lot out on the street. I got out and walked away from my truck and hit the lock button on my keys, and nada. Tried it a couple more times, and nothing. I walked back to my truck, hitting the button the whole way, and I didn't get a response until i was literally inches from the front driver's side fender.

I thought my remote died, unlikely though, since i just bought the truck a few weeks ago.

When I got home, I got the system to respond on the first shot up to 30 yards away.

Is there anything you know of that could possibly interfere with the keyless entry signal?

I notice that you need line of sight to work with mine from a distance. Usually doesnt work if a car is in between.

The 300-420MHz radio spectrum is pretty crowded. It's mainly gov't UHF radios.

My satellite radio when tuned to 105.1 caused my keyless entry to not transmit right, had to stand right next to the truck to make the doors lock and it also caused something in the system to activate causing the keyless entry to draw down my batteries. 1995 F250 powerstoke. Just thought i would pass this along strange stuff. I almost went and bought new batteries glad I didn't do that.
