Seems like a similar setup to the RR Racing tuner for the IS... Little spendy, but their willingness to provide updates for free is pretty tits. Lexus told me as long as I flashed back to stock for service no one would ever know. They could probably find a trace if they were looking for it, but they'd never look for it.

Yo @OVTune did you guys ever release your 3IS stuff? When I was looking to buy you guys disappeared. Moving shops or something, I thought I read?

This was an issue I had with my '14 2nd gen. With 6 available gears, there is no reason to make 6th so short. It would have been nice to have 6th put you somewhere around 2100 RPM at 70MPH. There is more than enough power there to maintain speed on *most* interstates. Us MT folks don't really mind shifting if we need to, that's why we bought one in the first place. Reverse was also an issue that I never understood. I don't need to go 30 MPH in reverse. I would much rather top out at 10 mph and 4000 rpm and be able to back up a load of gravel on my trailer without burning out the clutch or hoping I don't break something in 4 low.

Jesus....we are all gonna get banned for this thread....
    Anyway.....
1.02 has gotten back to a little sluggish on throttle for me.
Fuel economy was 16.5 by the math. Alas I live in the hills, so hey mpg not so good anyway...
Definitely looking forward to some MT dyno love though.........
Also, I run my updates off an old gateway with windows 7...no problems.
Let' keep the off topic stuff down, dont run OV off....he's the man.....

Um... in 6th gear I am getting Tacoma A/T v. '15 RX350 FWD difference of 24% (or 19% depending how you look at it) with about 5% due to tires. So, maybe double check; or, we're talking about different vehicles. (Of course, I don't make mistakes.)

...and my Tacoma is heavier than the '15 RX350 FWD.

(The RX revs about 5% higher; so, maybe you could take that into account to bring them closer.)

Chances of getting the activation code back tomorrow?

Here's the setup. Nice case that comes with these, and my USB hub fits perfectly!

interesting again. what is the ECU version you have? you can find it in your *.bin filename. mine is 04B12. Frank is having that problem while I'm not. iirc he's on 04B10..

Received kit today. Came with a nice case to store the USB dongle, OBD connector, and USB cable.

Serial number sent Wednesday afternoon. Now waiting for the license key from OVT so I can read the ECU file and finally load the tune! :goingcrazy:

3.5 twin turbo engine from the LS500. Matt said this could “possibly” bolt on.

Not sure, it looks reverse flow to me

I'm often curious what the potential impacts are of frequent reflashes - you're clearing learned values and some of these learned values protect your engine (and some just make it sip gas shift like a schizophrenic).

The baseline is safe otherwise Toyota would have all kinds of problems. The learned values make it 'nicer' to drive.
