Yes, they are really good. I just don't think the performance is equivalent to price tag. It's also crazy that there are starting to be even more expensive coolers out there.

 

I have two....

Hopper Flip 12 - decent for day trips and such - zipper is new so it takes a bit of 'Merica to get it open.
Roadie 20 - far better than the crap I had before - probably should have got the Tundra 50...

 

That's understandable. I used a $100 rei gift card and waited for a 20% sale and got mine for like $200

Edit: I just remembered I used my dividend and paid $83

 

That's a reasonable price.

 

I did the same thing:
$100 gift card and dividend (tiny) and sale = $100 or so...

I just carry around a full size refrigerator/freezer combo in the bed of my truck and power it with a generator. It's like being at home with an endless supply of food.

I have too many Igloo coolers to buy anything else. I'd be surprised if a Yeti works better, and if I felt the need, I'd still go for an Ozark Trail and save bucks.

 

I had a bum ozark trail one. I know a few people with them that had better luck. For the extra 40-50 for a RTIC, I feel it is worth it.

 

@JayMac has a pelican I think and i like it more than the rtic.

 

Been looking at RTIC, Pelican, and Yeti so far. Money isn't the concern, just don't feel like wasting an extra hundred or two for minuscule advantages. So far leaning towards an RTIC.

 

FWIW, I sold my pelican for a yeti. Too heavy and too big for the capacity. Im a whore for pelican cases too

 

I went from a Pelican 65 (too big) to a yeti 65 (too small) to a yeti 105 (just right)

 

Yeah definitely want to go with a 110 or 105 dependent on brand.

I have a Pelican 70QT, thing is a beast. But room isn't an issue in a trail limo.

 

I need something a bit bigger.

 

I have an Ozark trail 73qt that's been well worth the price I paid for it though my arb fridge has taken it's place for most of my trips. I wouldn't mind selling it to a tw member looking for one.
