it definitely only whines when the AC is on, and it changes pitch relative to RPM. I'm thinking idler pulley, but not sure

I have a noise (whine, screech, grind) that comes on with the ac and completely disappears when the AC is off. Think that's it?

Most likely. Mine got so bad that the clutch seized and started burning the belt so I just cut the belt off back a couple winters ago. I still haven't redone the AC system. :(

Same exact problem. You can tell in the video how bad it is especially from inside (skip to 1:10)

DD mod definitely helps quite a bit with that fact. Honestly I just want to get it back for the pup now. She got pretty hot on our trip to MD this past summer.

    I have a problem...

    IMG_4530.jpg IMG_4531.jpg

Fun Fact: I use the metal skeleton of a 50/50 Tacoma bucket seat as my welding table.

    IMG_4529.jpg IMG_4533.jpg IMG_4532.jpg IMG_4535.jpg

Shameless plug for my parts thread
The tranny, knuckles, shifter, mudflaps, differential, etc. is for my PreRunner 4x4 swap. Everything else is up for grabs.
