Bought this truck from private owner, had this dealer sticker on the back that was about halfway off anyways. I want it gone, cant stand them anyways!
But, see that gunky stuff it's going to leave behind ? How can I get that off my pretty black paint without damaging it ? Anyone got any help for me.
The white stuff is just left over wax..........

    Thanks guys !

I've used goo gone and bug/tar remover with success.

And you wouldn't believe what Coca cola will go thru, but I don't recommend it.

LOL:D I hear ya. Reason I asked, when I stole this truck from the college kid, he had 6 stickers on the back windows. When I got the windows tinted it was easy just to say "and get those stupid stickers off the back too."

Be doing that tomorrow......preciate the help bro.

ahh...gotcha...the windshield banner was definately the biggest pain in the ass out of all of them. had to stand on the sliders to reach across to get the center.

Nobody mentioned that warming it with a blow dryer helps along with the WD-40.

This is the best product I have used for pinstripes, residual gunk left from de-badging your truck, decal outline on paint, etc.. pricey but awesome!

I use 99% rubbing alcohol. You can buy it at walmart or most drug stores. In some areas its behind the counter so you have to ask the pharmacist. That is what autobody shops use because its safe on paint. Also if that doen't work a citrus cleaner like 3M. I've never had a decal that the alcohol would not remove.

i hate when dealers do that shit. i won't accept delivery with a sticker on it unless they want to pay me advertising. same goes for license plate frames.

Funny that, i had the dealer remove it all as a matter of the deal.:)

WD-40 and/or the rubbing alcohol will work fine...just remember to clean
whatever excess off really good. Get some good wax on there afterwards too.

Goo gone, rubbing alcohol should both work but the what I find most effective is a little bit of acetone ...said this before and got flamed but i have NEVER damaged my paint doing this on every vehicle I have owned. I always use a small amount of acetone on a cotton ball requires very little rubbing and evaporates before it will do any real damage to the paint.
