how many trucks does the dealership have? maybe they really got confused by the de-badging and don't know its an OR. I know if they just did it by the VIN that the packages don't always show up correctly

This is the only one, besides mine, that is on the lot. As far as the 2nd gen goes.

Yeah, I did yesterday. Drove fine. Brake pedal was a little hard, but that's probably a leaky booster. Wasn't crazy hard though like others.

But that also means the original owner is kinda stupid right? Means he probably only got like 18- 19K , maybe 20K on the trade.

I know I know. It's just one of those things where I'm conflicted.

So the 09+ TRD OR 4x4's came with a completely different master cylinder / brake booster assembly compared to every other truck configuration. They use an electric boosted master cylinder / abs all in one unit unlike the much shittier vacuum assisted master with separate abs unit. Pedal feel on the TRD OR 4x4's 09+ will be much more touchy and much less pedal pressure to stop compared to other trucks.

My concern outside of smoke smell is possible lots of towing miles without proper maintenance. Biggest would be, has the rear diff fluid EVER been changed. Because if not, plan on replacing ring and pinion gears as well as pinion and main diff bearings soon as those WILL go if diff fluid hasnt ever been changed especially if it was used for towing alot. The trans, not terribly worried about, just make sure to do a full proper 13 quart drain n flush when / if you get it

Screw it. I'm going to go get the keys and look at the trans fluid and what not. It has a dipstick right? Never been under a 4.0 good before

    I would be too.

The too good to be true is always in the back of my mind. But sometimes good shit happens. Who knows, end of month, maybe they need to move to meet quota. Maybe they stole the truck initially from the original owner. Tons of moving parts at dealers.

Ask the dealer straight up why the price seems so low. He'll probably say appearance , smell and miles. If that's the reason, buy that bitch.

That makes a bunch if sense. The pedal didn't seem to drop much if I recall correctly.

    Too few to list.
Pedals on the off-road also makes a deflating balloon sound when depressed.
