    His phone died, and he was alright. He has a surprising ability to ignore most of the posts in there. Now he's selling his truck, and posting CL ads that members keep finding and linking in the thread, and then jimmy will delete his CL ad. It's like whack a mole.     CB question peeps. I run the
    $90 Midland 75-822 40 Channel CB-Way Radio
    Midland 75-822 with a 4' firestik. When I tune my antenna I can never get it lower than about 2.2-2.3. What could be the problem? I thought it was the mount at first but then I switched back to my old mount by the tailgate and got even worse readings in the 3's. I currently have it mounted on my bed rack closest to the cab. Is that the best place for it or would it be better on the bed rack closer to my tailgate or mounted onto my ditch light brackets?

    My best guess would be a poor ground. Do you have a wire going from your mount to your frame?
