That's what a lot of people suggested so I think I'm gonna look into it.

You could bed line the whole thing, not too expensive if you do it yourself, just a lot of work.

Vinyl wrap is probably the better option.

Does anyone know if the front diff actuator needs some sort of gasket maker on it? Replacing mine tonight and not sure if I should throw some on there

Scrolling through a first gen page today on FB and I see this. IMG_6626.PNG.jpgIs it just me or is this just an ignorant statement?

But I also put the truck to work a bit

Yes the ADD actuator uses a FIPG.

They aren't wrong, it's just not a very nice way to put it. Neglect and ignorance is how they typically fail, and neglecting maintenance on something that regularly takes you 60mph and faster is stupid. Also your truck looks great!

As long as it is oil contact safe then yeah it should be fine, I have never used the blue so I'm not sure what it's good for. Working on vehicles I've only needed red, grey, and black. The grey or red would both be fine for the diff actuator. Black would be okay but it for heavy oil contact on surfaces that are closer matched.

So how do you guys feel about wounding Tacomas for body parts? I found this really sweet PreRunner regular cab with a bed that has never seen a garden trowel or a bag of steer poop. The awesome part is it's the same color as mine so I'd just swap beds and sell the wounded one. My current bed is ok, but has been used like a coked up sorority girl and I hate that someone used DIY bedliner crap on it.

I can't imagine it was a popular combo, but it's a four banger with an automatic. A nice old man truck

Oh yah, just put it out of its misery, the 4cyl and auto combination is a test of patience. I couldn't stand it, with a manual it feels great and plenty zippy with the automatic it's like waiting for porn on dialup.
