WOW it's Friday already.....

 

Well hell, someone have a recommendation around Manchester Nashua NH area?

 

My understanding is it's going to have to be within a range of factory standards.

When I got my truck inspected this month, guy told me I should have failed for bumper, wheel offset, lift, lights, no front plate, and tint. And once the headers go on those too. He said every car is going to have to be lifted up to check underneath, and 4 photos have to be taken from each corner when the car rolls in

 

For that much you can have nh oil do it

Local beer shop gets a lot of stuff from all over the country. Problem is that it's not consistent, so if you find something you like you might not be able to get it again.

Gotcha - Jack's Abby have some good beers. If you ever find yourself in Framingham MA, I'd recommend a stop in. Great food, tons of beer on tap.

 

Mind if I ask where you got that price? I'm not too far from Blackstone so I'd have to guess it's a close option. I need to do this before the winter; was planning on just sucking it up and doing it with the spray cans for this first year.

From my understanding when I read a little about it last year is it doesn't matter how it comes from the factory. They trust the manufactures.

Rob got it done along with a bunch of us at our Fluid Film meet up her ein CT on the 17th.

EDIT: We did it at a member's house, who does it himself.

 

Might be time to switch your registration to RI. None of that b.s., and you only have to worry about inspection every two years.

 

No need for a water separator. Fluid film can be applied to wet or dry surfaces. So a little water wouldn’t hurt. It’s lanolin oil based anyway so it won’t mix.

I might get required for insurance. Last time I checked it'd go up $800/year just for the cars. Plus property taxes. Plus I just put another car on hold that isn't going to be cheap on insurance

 

Like Nuno said had mine done at a members house. There wasn't a thread on it but just a mention in 1 or 2 local threads about the meet. Like I said before Drew's @tacobell007 friend does it at his shop for close to that same price (talk to him about specific prices).

@MikeyMcFly I don't have a good sense of smell but I could definitely smell it at the house when it was getting applied but honestly I only smelt it from my truck one time. Nothing really bad either.

 

I hope you're right about the inspection stuff. I guess we will just have to roll with it and adjust accordingly... by moving to NH.

Wheel offset, no front plate and tint I can understand. But what's wrong with your bumper, lights and lift? I hadn't seen any regulations on bumpers.

I'd still get it done! And he did say he had some left over if anyone had missed the meet up, so it may be worth messaging him.

Do you guys with skids, bolt-on sliders, etc, remove that stuff prior to applying the FluidFilm? I'm thinking it might be a decent multi-weekend project to remove the armor, touch up the finish on the frame as needed, hit the armor with a wire wheel and prime paint as well, then FluidFilm the truck and reinstall everything. I wish I had a lift.
