What a start to the day already!
Phones were down, had to switch to our virgin VOIP system (in progress to implement), now phones are restored again, installed a printer for a Mac user (need to rinse with bleach now), gotta run to our rubber shop and set up 2 more PCs.

The light at the end; going to the camper for the weekend. Best friend's birthday.

 

I would have sent them the youtube video on how to do it.

 

No work on the truck this weekend. Hoping to get the plumbing and wiring done next weekend.

 

Or just told them to plug it in and click ok.

Nah, truck needs washed good before end of Oct for the Black Mountain meet anyway. Haven't washed it after Rush even, just rinsed. Starting to dry and fall off now, no one rides my ass in traffic though lol!

People here have no idea how to do the most basic tasks. They didn't have computer classes that were mandated like my generation and a few years before me.

If they're over 45, I just go to their office and get it done.

My younger sister can't figure out things too. I just assume all ages can't do it if they're asking for help.

 

My mom hasn't called and asked me one computer question since I told her to get a MacBook. She loves it. She's 79.

 

I love my Mac! My only issue I've had is that the cord stops working. I had a macbook years ago and had the replace the power cord - looking like I'm about to do the same with my current one.

 

Murph, the scan drivers had to be downloaded and installed separately.

So you got her a computer that she didn't have to try to use. It does everything for you.


#1 reason why I don't like them. I want to input what I want, not what some west coast yuppie prick thinks I want.

 

Don’t buy her the iWatch, my mom is 80. When I call her I can here her in the background looking for her phone, unaware that she already answered via her watch. Funny/sad af.

 

And I need something that does graphics, photo editing and works religiously without having to fuck with it. Also that gives no issues when I want to give you hell.
