    I thought about switching to mass because it's cheaper. But then I'd have to worry about my mods all the time.

    @micwillia I'm going to be doing mine soon too. I have a compressor and all the equipment. If you want to pick up a gallon of FluidFilm we can arrange to do yours the same day.

    Everything has to be factory spec. no aftermarket lights, not even hid's from what I've heard. The lift regulations are so people don't get decapitated in accidents with huge trucks. But it's lifted or lowered, any change to ride height. And then having the plate bumper

    Thanks for the tips guys, sounds like @BadDNA has got a similar offer since he needs to do his.

    @BadDNA, that would be awesome I would gladly pay for a gallon of the stuff to get mine done too.

    If I were to buy a new truck, I've thought about looking into registering in VT to avoid excise. I'm only a minute from the border anyway.

    But, I thought there were all kinds of potential legal issues with having an out-of-state reg.

    http://www.mass.gov/courts/docs/lawlib/500-599cmr/540cmr6.pdf

    Here is the Mass Law on lifts with the formula:

    Wheelbase x Track / 2,200

    Wheelbase on a 2017 DCSB = 127.4"
    Wheel Track = 63.0

    Lift = 3.6"

    Law allows for a 1" variance.

    Until they change that law you could easily fight a lift failure.

    So I'm allowed 3.6" in mechanical lift and 3.6" increase in tire size

    That is how I read it. I mean that's the actual law as written. An inspector could fail you not knowing the law but that's what I see. A DCLB is even higher.

    Yeah I heard this may be changing in the near future but I hope not!

    How'd you figure out the wheel track?

    So, given that formula, my '15 DCLB is good for roughly 4" of lift before I get dinged. Maybe more if they measure wheel track rather than use mfg numbers, or do they measure hub face to hub face for track?

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/toy...tures/4x4-doublecab-v6-at-long-bed/sd-AAbLHxI

    Wheelbase 140.6
    Rear Wheel Track 63.4
    Lift = 4.05"

    Just read the law, they are supposed to measure wheel track.

    Rolling into the inspection station like this with a 6" lift.

    Well privately $40-$50, shop i guess that's alright, but for that money id go with Krown (I think is how its spelled)

    Same! :thumbsup:

    They're cheap enough and its good practice, just like automotive painting, its a screw on part. Water and air will mix in the compressor then you get it in the lanolin, I just don't want to add to the problem especially sijce my frame is missing paint from wheeling and 1 full winter of driving it with the shitty salt

    If anyone else didn't get theirs done in CT and wants in, let me know. Maybe we can set up a spray day here at my place and have everyone pitch in for a 5-gallon bucket ahead of time. I'm looking at my calendar right now and thinking that Saturday 10/14 might be a good day.

    Oh yeah, what time? I should be around all day unless we decide to go for a bike ride at some point. If you've got some extra time maybe we could head out to Treehouse and grab a few, I have a gift certificate burning a hole in my wallet.
