Need some opinions on this possible set up I have a viair 88p I just purchased to reinflate tiers after wheeling. I also have this ~3 gallon tank I got for free. I'm planning on installing the compressor inside the cab under the rear seats (hardwired to battery) with a 2 lines coming out, 1 going to the box near the cab with a quick connect and another going to the back bumper area also with a quick connect. The one in the box I plan on using with the tank on some mounts attached to the rail. Basically I want to be able to remove the tank when extra space is needed.
Question is, is it worth the time/trouble of installing the lines and tank?
Is there that much of a benefit running a tank? What parts would I need to make all connections?
I'm not planning on going air locker or bags.
Tank is rated for 200 psi
Viair 88p is only 1.43cfm and 120 psi.
I'm not buying a new compressor anytime soon.

Meh, I've been wheeling in Tacomas since the 90's and this is the first aftermarket skid I have purchased. Most of what I did back in the day was in the southeast so we never had to worry about rocks. On this build I did the Suspension and Sliders First. Had an opportunity on the custom rear bumper I couldn't pass up so that went on next. Then I did the front bumper and it wouldn't work with the factory skid mounts so I decided to spring for the new skid plate. Honestly I'm glad about getting the skid plate, especially after my Death Valley trip this year. That place is hard on the underside.

Help. I am thinking of picking up some tires sometime next week. Any suggestions or advice would be very helpful. I usually don't make these kind of decisions in a rush, but I can use a family members jeep all next weekend while my truck is in the shop.

Here is what my Grabber AT2s look like after 60,000 miles:

    IMG-0243.jpg

Edit: I know that I need an alignment. I didnt want to pay for it right before getting new tires. I off road on the beach all summer and would have ruined a new alignment anyways.

Appears you may have a slight alignment issue.

I don't know if it's just the picture but it would appear you could have benefited from an alignment

 Yeah, I think so. I've known for a while now. I knew I'd be getting tires this fall and decided to wait. Also, I go off road on sand all summer. Probably made it worse.

Those tires are badass. However, it looks like I'd need new rims.

Changed my oil/oil filter last night.

My VVTI had been hitting pretty hard since i got the truck but figured it was normal & also i've had an abundance of engine brake since I bought my truck in May. Last night after my oil changed I decided to inspect the air filter i had replaced a few months ago, it look good.. I tapped it out and re-installed it. Then I pulled my MAF Sensor and its was clearly contaminated with dust particles on the incoming air side... I cleaned the living shit out of it with MAFS Cleaner and un-plugged my battery to reset all the shit the trucks known since before i purchased it.

So far, A lot less engine brake, no more hard hitting VVTI, Improved throttle response, Lower smoother idle. I am more than 100% sure this relates to the ecu reset/MAFS Cleaning and not the oil change FYI.

I change my oil often (2.5k-3k) as i like to get a look at everything underneath the truck because I beat the shit out of it.

Moral of the story, Clean your MAF sensor lol.
