    I think i have heard "if it has slag, drag" but i try and pull when possible, its just easier for me to controll

    Except on vertical welds those always give me a little issue still. I believe someone told me to weld up when vertical

    It depends on what you are using. A 7018 cannot weld downhill so u have to go uphill. There usually isnt an issue mig welding downhill but you get as good penetration as u would going uphill (but i get prettier welds going downhill)

    I've been using 50/50 of 91/e85 for a full tank and it's been treating me pretty well. You don't get those start up issues on cold mornings. I would say e85 in the summer then taper off back to regular gas by winter for this climate (100 F summers and 30 F winters) is ideal. For the record the 70% minimum is what you get in winter and they do it for the same reason I would switch to gas, ethanol hates cold starts. If you are able to adjust pulse width it's not terribly inconceivable to set them at a happy medium for both seasons. There is a +/- 40% pulse width adjustment withing fuel trims so if you set them a little to the negative for the summer they will be a little in the positive for the winter and you shouldn't have to alter the tune.

    I only have two qualms with e85. 1 - On this tiny ass tank I can only get 150-200 miles. It's not the mpg that bothers me, it's the distance between fuel ups. I plan to get one of those jazz cells one day to remedy this. A 35-40 gal tank would be pretty slick. 2 - It fuckin stanks. The exhaust has a smell I would categorize as "sticky." Like, I don't want to even touch the stuff. It's been about 8,000 miles since I first introduced it to my fuel system. I took a look at my injectors, fuel rail and fuel lines and there are no signs of degradation yet. I'm not suggesting the alleged rubber breakdown issues aren't legitimate, just maybe blow out of proportion. My truck has 200,000 miles currently.

    I'm not like an expert at welding but I can get around ok, but I don't think everything that works for a mig set up transposes perfectly to flux core

    I went on the first test drive runs OK still Boggs the gauge seems to be everywhere at idle it’s 14.7 give or take and since it’s raining today I was not able to do full throttle first-year second-year but in third gear for throttle it was 13.2 and when I let off the throttle the gauge goes all the way as low as 9.9 then it gradually goes back to 14.7 so it looks like I’ll be doing a lot of observing I almost want to say the O2 sensor is bad

    Seems like the gauge was all over the place similar to narrowband except for at idle it always goes back to 14.7 eventually

    Narrow bands do go all over the place, it's how they work, they dither.
    as far as open loop is concerned 13.2 is a bit lean, makes me think you have to much boost for a stock system, and the reason it goes to 9.9:1 is because when you close the throttle body there is a sudden shortage of air and a sudden surplus of fuel, causing the gauge to read rich.

    The behavior you're describing seems similar to my truck before I put a tune on the AEM, basically what I'm sayin is that it seems normal.

    I was thinking about the possibility that it’s too much boost it set at 9 psi I may need to go back down to 7psi
