This tickled me for some reason. Of course I am sitting in a cube farm today "working an issue" rather than being in my private office. Got the typical "meerkat" folks looking at me since they heard me giggle. I'm ready to GEEE OOHHHH!!!!!!!!!

 

Remote Resi or no? Is it really worth the extra $310? Especially since I am going with a 2.5" coilover, I do not think the remote resi is necessarily needed for the type of trails we have around here. One other factor, I drive quite a few miles and will need them rebuilt, I can add the resi at this time if I feel it would help. I will be going to long travel eventually also, so will be purchasing coilovers again, I will go with remote resi at that time.

Any thoughts?! I am sure you guys will say I'm a bitch if I do not go with a resi but I am trying to think practically with this build. At this point of my research I do not see the $310 being justified yet.

I don't see you really doing anything in our area to need the resi's. If you were out west doing high speed for prolonged times or desert then yeah I could see it then. Alabama? Just to add an inch to your pecker. Unless we have something here I'm vastly not aware of.

Well and unless you just find an outstanding deal on them within $50 of each other. Then go for the peepee extension.

 

I like my peepee extensions. When I went out west I was able to rip across the desert comfortably. Sure, it was one time, but I still did it. The price difference when I bought mine during a GB was "negligible" as far as the total cost went so that's why I chose them. I also don't plan to go past the extended travel fronts for a long time, so I'll just be replacing the rears in hopefully the near future with 12" shocks.

 

From my understand you can still rip across the desert without them. Just wouldn't be as good if you were for like hrs at a time.

 

Well you "can" do the same stuff with any of it, just more risk in breaking. I just like the comfort of knowing I have them if I ever get chances or desires to use them. Like I said, price difference was negligible, but also think ahead...over 50-60k miles was 300$ really bank breaking?
