Sounds nice. Another member on here did his rings in Inferno to match the truck. Looked bad ass. I have the Copper wheels so the black ring, to me, looks the best on that color.

I really do like all the colors and styles of these wheels. I have not seen a setup yet I didn't like, and that goes for Gen 1 to Gen 3 Tacos and 4Runners.

If money grew on trees I would most certainly have multiple setups so I could change out as the mood strikes me.

NVM. Just got ready to take the rings off, and realized that they don't lol. I'm not going to coat them then. Kinda sucks, I was really thinking they came off. Still happy with the wheels though!

I was about to reply to tell you that very thing about the "ring". Some bad news on my powder coating wishes as well....the company I wanted to go with is worried that since the bore size is an exact match to our hub that any extra thickness added to the inner part of the bore from powder coating process may make the fitment difficult without then sanding the power coat off on the inner edge of the wheel. This would then leave an unfinished edge that could start peeling. They are willing to do still powder coat as long as I am willing to accept that possibility.

Haha well in that case :p
They should be able to tape up that hub bore. I don't really think you have anything to worry about.

I'm not unhappy with the wheels or color at all, was just wanting something glossy with the ring machined. If it's not gonna be simple, then I'm just leaving them as is. Glad I got black and not one of the other colors now though lol!

I almost feel bad that I snagged a set, I have been lurking on threads forever but never really post. Waiting for my tires to get here then its off to DT. Meanwhile, I keep coming home to something beautiful in my bed20170926_180113.jpg

They should be able to mask off the centerbore area and powder coat everything else. Something like this from the backside.

After much discussion with vin I think I'm gonna shoot for some brushed copper ones when they come out in a few months. I'm hoping they will look good, but haven't really seen a Barcelona with coppers before.

Dude, nothing looks like em'. If you're lucky enough to get them, you will never regret waiting. I promise.

We were recently on vacation in Ocean City, Md. We stayed at a high rise place on the beach. It's privately owned but the tenants rent the units out. Most of the renters and nearly all the tenants are older, like us, or older. It's not swanky at all but it is a little on the upscale side. All of the building management and security were all over me the whole time, asking questions, taking pics. It was crazy. The wildest part was how the older tenants were enamored by this truck. I mean, the combination of Inferno and Copper had them all in an instant mid life crisis. One couple asked if the wife could sit it in it. She wanted a truck, fell in love with the Inferno and asked if I would consider selling it. It was really crazy. I said sure, for the right price.......but not with the wheels. Those aren't part of the package LOL.

Oh, here's a tip, buy 5! Do not buy 4! Imagine needing one for whatever reason......then having to sell the other 3 because you can't find one. I'm actually considering an aftermarket alarm system that has cell phone notifications...it was just drawing too much attention. I felt good with the locks and the place we were at but in a sketch location i would be uneasy. Yea, insurance can replace my truck.......but not these wheels. LOL

I know tires can get expensive, but If you want a different color, although they won't be Ray10s get another set of other wheels, it probably would only cost double what you would pay for powder coating. It's the price of tires that always gets me.

Keep in mind I'm talking 16x8 prices lol

These arrived today and the boxes look like I picked them up myself.

I'm thinking TRD center caps & ko2s letters out for a factory look

I'd like to powder coat mine pyrite to match my truck, my truck has the unpainted plastic trim so I don't think it would too monochromatic.

I have a set of Countersteers I just ordered some stt pros for, probably not the best for snow, I was going to go with Duratracs or cooper ST max.

The ko2s look a touch more street friendly, and say Baja champion on them.
