Install was really easy. But I had everything wired to switches and relays already.

Even without that it would be easy. It's really hard to make the install look good because you've got a connector with 12-16 wires coming out of it.

I'll grab some installed pics of that piece.

P.s. That battery dies every am if I use an of it without the truck running.

I'm debating on a dual set up vs one big deep cycle.

Camping I'll have a fridge and two phones charging. Plus any lights I have on during then. Most days will have driving in between so it won't be sitting for days at a time.

I'm just worried after it barely starting twice on the last trip. I don't know if it's worth another 1k for a dual set up.

Last night I had the truck radio playing for about 30 minutes while I finished the install on the switch pro. It was the closest to dead so far when I tried to start in the am.

 

What I plan to be doing is moving a battery to the back of the truck inside of one of the bed cubbies
But I also keep a jump start battery behind my seat for those bad situations in super cold weather

 

I've thought about that. But I hate running big ass battery cables everywhere.

I had a light weight talon (eclipse) once with a small better under the passenger seat that was kind of a pain in the ass.
Maybe I'll try a huge deep cycle replacement and see how that goes.

I have something similar just in case. But I want for emergency use not every day camping. Haha

With two phone and a fridge my stock one will be dead in a matter of minutes. I'm thinking one big deep cycle might be enough.

 

So it's time for a new battery. Had to jump it this am with my jumper pack.

That has me thinking...

I was going I just go dual battery and call it a day. But I don't want to spend the money and my truck is already too heavy as it is.

So I'm debating on getting a deep cycle battery and then mounting a solar panel on the roof.

I'm going to have a fridge, two cell phones, and any lights going on over night.

I figure between a deep cycle, solar panel, and a jump pack, I'll be good. Who knows though. I have zero clue when it comes to solar. Sounds good in theory though.

 

If you set it up right with a decent solar panel, it should be okay. As long as you have sunlight.

Yeah I still don't know what I'm going to do. I don't want dual. Too heavy. I'm guess I could just try one deep cycle and see how that works out.
