I really hope that is not the case. Would make getting aftermarket or even OEM Pro grille a pain.

Sure. I've had the door panels off during my stereo upgrade and it looks like you're replacing the entire door panel if you do it. If you found a junked Taco, you might be able to drill the plastic "rivets" holding the armrest in the door panel...but that's a big if.

On SR5, the inserts on door panels and above the glove box are Smooth on TRD they are textured. You cannot replace the door inserts separately without a lot of trouble otherwise I would purchase the SR5

Are you sure? Because I highly doubt the TRD Pro will have a glossy emblem.

The pro grill, already has a spot for the sensors underneath the Toyota badge

Besides the new grills and safety sense. Don't expect much.

I'm looking to buy a 3rd gen Tacoma...how much do the older models (16's, 17's) drop in price once the new 2018 trucks come out? Is it worth waiting or should I buy now?

Basically nothing...Maybe a grand or two at most is the difference.

Edit: doing research. The used 16's with 20k are selling for 30k. I can't seem to find a brand new 16. The 17's are still selling for 32-34k depending on the trim. If you're into all of the new safety stuff then wait. If you're not, then I'd get a 17, maybe you can get a sweet deal on that.

It looks like the reverse light may be LED. The area looks to be a very clean white, which is somewhat indicative of LED lighting in other vehicles.

This is the second time I have seen Toyota show the Tacoma with this bed rack...wonder if it'll be an official Toyota accessory (dealer add-on)?? If so, I really hope they make it compatible with the tonneau as well. THAT would be awesome (but not likely)!!
