    Then you should have a 2 and 1/2 in Cat-Back exhaust from the factory. OD. The earliest models had two and a quarter.

    Go with the 2.5". 2.25" will restrict flow as it would be the smallest diameter in the post y of the exhaust.

    Thanks guys. I'll be honest I'm really surprised at how much louder it is, especially since I already had DTLT's and kept the original muffler. Before the y-pipe it sounded almost no different than stock. I guess that just goes to show how restrictive the original y-pipe with secondary cats is.

    I'll be looking forward to getting the vibrant resonator welded in and toning things down a bit

    What about the performance aspect of the new y pipe with all your other mods? Did opening up the exhaust free up a lot more power? Is that part worth the extra loudness?

    Did a before and after dyno run, with the URD Y-pipe, as the changed component. It is in the N/A dyno thread. Huge gain at the end of the RPM range, even for N/A. It was on a 1GR 4Runner, with the stock catback, DTLT headers, and APR X-1. Again, the only change was the Y-pipe.

    So since your last dyno( which was with the 2.55" correct?), you have installed the shorter belt, and the Y-pipe, yes?

    Time to dyno again! Or at least after you upgrade the catback to 3". If you really want to increase the Y pipes lemon or flow then at the exiting merge collector you need to cut it right where produces down from 3 inches and then world on a flange to mate to the 3 inch cat back. So that it is a true 3 inch out of the Y pipe into the cat back.

    It does begin as a 3" but necks down at the flange to accomodate stock 2.5" exhaust. Bottom pic at the flange is made to fit to the stock 2.5" exhaust.
