Long time member and a lurker for a while now, This thread has been very helpful when trying to figure out the best deal out there. What do you think?
    MSRP: $40847
    Offer: $38545

Freeman would have been able to give me $36259 from a MSRP $40048. I did not like the color available and the color I want will take 4 weeks.

Well, Freeman deal would have been a lot better. Too bad they do not have the one I wanted.

Anyone have opinions on '18 vs '17? I saw someone mentioned that waiting a few weeks would save thousands on '17 models. I've been lurking around new models for months now and, finding myself on the cusp of the new models could go either way. Seems like you could be more aggressive in negotiating for a '17 now and potentially get a killer deal.

    Thoughts appreciated.

I'm not the most educated on the 18's but from what my close minded happy with my 17 mindset tells me I would just get a 17.

The way I see it is that the prices of new ones keep going up up up and now with safety sense garbage, things I don't want, I'd just be paying for stuff I have no use for.
but again reiterating, my senses just tingle at the thought of holding salesman over a barrel knowing they're trying to clear inventory.

2017 Toyota Tacoma SR5 V6 DCSB 4x2. Came with running boards, mud flaps, tint.

Always wondered how I did, not sure what people are including in their totals so I'll just break mine down a bit. I don't feel like I really got a great deal compared to some on here but this was the best I was getting cross-checking multiple dealers in south FL. This was also back in May so they probably weren't selling as low as they are now since the 2018's are about to roll out. Thoughts?

    Selling price $29,300
    Dealer Fee $795
    Electronic filing fee $239

Hey all, long time lurker. Finally going to pull the trigger and buy a new 2017 TRD OF 4x4. I am from SoCal and hard to find a good deal on these trucks. Contacted a few local dealers trying to find the best deals. Here is the best deals I gotten so far from Hamer toyota.

Quicksand long bed TRD OF 4x4
    Tow Package, A.W. Floormats
    MSRP: 37,852
    Quote:35,385.

Now I contacted a dealer up in NorCal and this is the quote, dealer is Freeman.

Silver Sky short bed TRD OF 4x4
    Tow Package, Premium & Tech,
    MSRP: 37,713
    Quote: 33,991

My question is what do you guys think? Is it worth to make the drive up north? or keep looking around to see if I can get a similar deal near me?

ps dealers do not want to match price, don't even come close.

    Hey AlexWRX,

I am on the same boat.. The quote ($33,991 is almost $1000 below invoice, and I don't think you are able to do any better unless 2018MY are out and you still want to get 2017 in stock.)

I am in Socal as well and looking for a super white(or silver) TRD Sport DCSB 4X4 6MT with premium/tech package. Only couple socal dealers have it and the prices quoted are close to MSRP. If I were you, I would take a day off and buy the one-way ticket to Santa Rosa early in the morning (LAX to STS is around $150) and you could drive back in 7 hours while enjoy the new truck.

what year is your WRX? :D I am selling my 07 Forester XT Sport 5MT to make the down payment for Taco...:D

    Hey pickupjonson

Think I just might have to fly out there. It will be woth saving a couple bucks. Im just waiting for them to give me another quote on a different truck with the tech and JBL package in quicksand.

Those fozzys are nice! I have 2011 WRX, I was also going to sell it and put that money for down payment. But decided not too or at least not at the moment, I have put so much money on the car. I cant let it go just yet.

the only downside without having the safety sense is that your resale value is lower than those with it. remember resale value is based on general public not by the 10% that dont need it like most on the forums.

    RESALE?!

I'll admit I'm blinded by my love of my current truck and the thought of resale sounds preposterous but you're definitely right.

trust me, after having ours for 2yrs we are looking into trading up to platinum tundra. resale is about 30k on ours w/o the mods. about ~32k with the mods.
