I need to visit more Northern California Brewers. I'd like to visit said breweries with folks of similar mind. The Norcal Tacomaworld board is the place to start.

So, the Nor Cal Tacoma World Brewery Visting Club or NCTWBVC was born.

When you visit a brewery take some pictures and post here along with some thoughts about your visit and a website if the brewery has one.

Ladies and Gentleman where shall we start?

Before I get carried away posing places, I'm still a newbie Californian... can you define NorCal? I've seen too many conflicting maps...

Damn @Cuffs. We're set for the life of our Tacomaworld involvement.

Need to charter a bus from a nearby campsite though. Cops would just pick us off in some of these towns. Bigger issues to deal with in others...

I'm not sure if sad or funny... I've been to all of these...

And was at Tioga Sequoia this afternoon picking up some of those kegs.

Since your LEO, how do you view wineries/ breweries? Parking lots are usually full, so people are definitely leaving there with low inhibitions. Please give us some tips on how to dodge the system. ;)

Been retired too long to give a shit. Having lived in New Orleans, home of the Go Cup and drive thru daiquiri shops, you become a pro...
Tip? Enjoy your drinks. Don't get hammered.

Definitely not advocating driving under the influence. Just asking to see how the determination are made before pulling someone over. I drive quite a bit for work and see more people swerving because of iPhone than alcohol.

I can recommend some places based in and around NorCal depending on your location.

    I've been to a few...

I think that is the biggest thing. If you have had a few, just be sure to put your phone down and focus on driving. I bartended for 5/6 years and never got pulled over leaving the bar.

I was also thinking of going in groups of 1 to as many as the brewery can handle.

    This...don't be dumb.

Worse case scenario is you kill a family on their way home from soccer.

Rather than a running list I was thinking more along the lines of when we go to a meet we rendezvous at a brewery along the way or on the way home. Or a brewery becomes the meet locations. We get some food, have a beer, take some pictures and post on here.

I'm going to Loma Brewery in Los Gatos this evening, after mountain biking, if anyone would like to join.

I'll put in a shamleoplug for Goat House as a great location.

Be aware the have very limited hours.
It's BYOF (Food). Sometimes they have a food truck but not always. There's wine tasting rooms also in the area if that's your thing.
Very kid/family friendly! Tasting room is in a barn. Picnic tables inside and out. And there's goats! Lots and lots of goats! For a $buck, they'll give ya a bunch of carrots to feed the goats. I don't have kids, but I feel like one when I can have a beer and feed the goats!

Hey guys, first time poster in this Northern California subforum. Been in California all my life. Originally from the Bay Area, Alameda, Oakland and then Hayward after four years down South East of LA for college. Moved further North to Redding about a year and a half ago. Found TW as I was researching Tacos before buying one earlier this month!

I have to say, you guys are missing out on quite a gem not including Redding on this list! Not only is there delicious beer here, but you're only minutes away from a vast OHV area with tons of trails. A few of the breweries in Redding: Wildcard, Fall River and Woody's. All have restaurants/tasting rooms. If any of you guys ever make it up this way, let me know. Would love to get myself more involved with TW and its members. Cheers!

Dunsmuir Brewery Works is probably one of the coolest brewery's I've been too.

    A little north of you.
