I saw what I thought was you on Burnet a couple days ago and almost started acting insane but decided against it because no more locked doors.

It's sooooooooooooo hard to wake up for C&C since I'm up all night all the time lol

Did you guys do the install yourselves or through a shop? If through a shop. How much roughly was the labor? Trying to figure out roughly how much money I gotta save up for.

I pieced mine together from headstong (just didnt want to spend all the coin at one time) they dont have a maxtrac kit with billies like i wanted but they do have the best prices, ive found and free shipping, so if the fox shocks are what u want id go for it or piece out the spindles, blocks and ubolt kit with the shocks you do choose mine was like 800 using the bilstein shocks, as long as the measurements of the shocks are close to what the kit comes with (why i got ext length rear billies instead of the normal length) either way headstrongs the way to go for price and service

Probably not unless it's a have to thing. It's a daily driver. I just need it to ride at least like stock after the lift.

Hello to TacoTuesday and Leo4x2. I want to apologize in advance because at my age I don't do a lot of forum or chat room interacting, but I am hoping that one of you fine gentleman can help me with my decision. I NEVER gave any consideration- zero really - to installing any kind of lift on my Tacoma. I bought it because I have retired from motorcycle riding for issues related to health, and I wanted the best, most dependable truck I could find. I originally wanted a Tundra, but it wouldn't fit in my garage, seriously, so I bought the Taco you see here and have not regretted it! This leads me into my main question- since, for personal preference, I refuse to leave my truck outside I need a lift that will still allow me to clear my 7' garage entry. The reason I have decided that I will definitely do a lift is due to the Great Flood caused by Hurricane Harvey here in the greater Houston area. My responsibilities at work required me to go out everyday and inspect/assess as many of our 54 campuses as I could get to. What I quickly learned is that I just couldn't get through a lot of areas in my stock Taco. I realize a lift won't automatically give me universal access on the next one (and there will be a next one based on recent history) but I want to be able to get through as much water as possible next time. So, can you two tell me what height your respective vehicles are at the "shark fin" on top of the cab please? And do mind if I follow up with some questions? I have literally read this entire thread several times over, and I regularly leave notes for fellow Taco owners everywhere I go to call me about their lifts. I would really appreciate your help. Thank you sirs.

I cant measure due to the fact i work on a boat and am unfortunately in the middle of my 2 week hitch but i can tell u between the total height gained was about 5.5" between the 4" lift and the new tires. I would definitely recommend this kit due to the fact you can get 4" from the get go without changing any of the front end geometry and then add a small spacer on the front and leaf pack lift on the back to gain a few more inches easy peasy. But yea without having done a measuring the 4" kit seems to have delivered pretty much what was promised after that it depends on what tire you go with which half of your tire size difference minus maybe 1/2 inch will be additional height
