I used to teach marksmanship to law enforcement officers as a matter of profession. I learned one thing in those three years.

When in a gunfight with most cops, the safest place to be, is the target.

 

We'll be gettin' somewhere when you also notice it's sexist...

 

Try teaching remedial shooting skills to homeland security. Most often heard "they didn't tell me I would have to know how to use a gun when I applied" - one woman consistently missed the target - the 3 foot one in front of her but if you are on the floor next to her, she would have hit you 3 out of 4 shots.

I don't fly anymore.

 

My national guard friend said there's a massive difference in ability between those that only practice marksmanship as part of training, and those that practice on their personal time as well.

 

And an even bigger difference when it's the two-way shooting range.
