Sold my 2010 dcsb trd sport July last year when I bought my 2016 4runner trail premium. Love the 4runner but do miss having a bed. Also some things changed with work so going back to not having a payment will be nice.

So last week I got a text from the guy who bought my truck and asked if I had any interest in buying it back. They are planning to make a large land purchase and are freeing up some cash. They have put less than 3k miles on it in over a year and kept it in the garage. So it looks like I am going to part ways with the 4runner and go back to the Tacoma.

Anything I should check out on the truck? I kept it maintained like no other. Also replaced wheel bearings. I think I will do trans drain/fill and coolant change. Truck has 122k miles

Truck has Billstein 5100, ride-rite air bags, new tsb headlights

Nice pic except for the pack of smokes in the foreground. Is that your new taco?

Its your truck, right? Gargaged with only 3k addl miles? Well its the same as it was when you parted with it. Buy it back, change the oil and get er done.Do you think they were jumping it in the desert or something?Slam dunk.

Always heard "if you let something go and it comes back it's meant to be yours" sounds like it was meant to be!

It's always best to be as debt free as possible. If you have a good opportunity to go back to the Taco, do it. That way work what happens with work is less of an issue.

    Although that's a really pretty 4Runner

Yea that 4-Runner is awesome looking, that would be tough for me....but, your reasons are sound. Debt free is the way to go, plus you are getting your old truck back in as good of shape as you left it apparently. Bonus

Picked it up last night. They put less than 3k miles on it and looked just the same as when I sold it July of 2016. Even my radio presets were still the same. Just did a fresh oil change and looking to plan on other fluids soon.

Now to put the 4runner back to stock and get it sold. I will swap the tires back to the taco

I went the opposite today. Signed all the paper work today for my 2017 TRD Pro 4Runner. Having my awesome stereo system takin out Monday. Picking 4Runner up on Tuesday. I have had Tacomas for years. My last one 15. Bought brand new. Never use the bed. I will have more use with the 4Runner.

I'm keeping the Taco AND buying a 2018 4Runner Offroad Premium next year. 4Runner will be for wheeling and camping. Taco for construction work and commuting to work. Best of both worlds

Was there anything else bringing you back to the Taco? I've been debating on taco vs 4runner, the 4runner seems to lead many categories except it doesnt have the bed haha

4runner is amazing in every way. We have taken it on multiple family trips but I do plan to see about getting my wife into one in the future. I will miss it when I do part with it.

Most of the time I prefer my 4Runner to the taco. If it wasn't for the bed I would go full time runner.

That's what I figured haha, I keep trying to convince myself I don't need a bed and can make due with a trailer in the future for hauling stuff
