3inch vs 6inch lift Kit? TRD PRO

If you want 33's I'm pretty sure you can fit them stock.

I ran 33's with a 2.5" lift. Guess what. They didn't rub.

 

And here i thought they were to lessen the impact of bottoming out. Who knew their real purpose was to limit uptravel on lifted vehicles to prevent suspension flex that would have otherwise caused tire rubbing.

You could also put a steering limiter on there to avoid doing a cmc too i guess. More than one way to skin a cat

 

Wait a minute. Nothing I said was bullying nor does it make me an asshole. The OP said if he doesn’t sell his truck, he wants to lift it. This tells me he is considering selling it. To which I responded that he should sell it since I don’t see the point in buying a PRO and removing the suspension.

The OP asked for opinions and I stated mine. I’m not sure how that constitutes bullying.

I appreciate the suggestions you gave in your 2nd paragraph, I just wish you had left the first paragraph out.

 

Assuming you lift your truck correctly, decent coilovers and upper arms, in willing to bet if you lift a truck, adjust the bumpstops correctly, throw on your 33's, you'll have more travel than a stock truck.

I did that. I had more travel than stock and my tires didn't rub.

But you go ahead and adjust your steering so the tires the don't rub. Then you can bypass the cmc.

 

People are so touchy when it comes to lifting s Pro.

Using OE or 4 Runner wheels they'll clear with no lift, no rubbing.

I wouldnt recommend doing drop bracket lift. spend the money on solid mid travel set up

 

I’m sorry you found my response useless. I’m not sure why you are attacking me personally for sharing my opinion on what the OP asked. I thought that was the point of this forum was to answer questions and state our opinions. Obviously yours is that I’m an asshole and my opinion is useless. And that’s your prerogative. I would ask that you keep that to yourself and respond in a much more civil manner when you disagree.

I stand by my original opinion and am not feeling guilty that I said it. He presented the option of selling the truck so I gave my opinion that he should exercise that option. I’m not sure why that would be considered sarcastic when I was merely choosing one of the options he presented.

To reiterate, I believe he should sell the pro because he can probably get back what he paid for it. He could then buy a different truck (not necessarily a Tacoma) with a much more basic suspension to remove and upgrade.

Again, if my opinion is somehow offensive, i apologize.

 

OP, I have 16” Pro wheels and run 285/75-16’s (33”) no problem. You don’t need a lift to fit them.

 

no rub at full flex? somehow I doubt that, you need a cmc and at lease 2" to accomplish that, unless your running piecutters....which from the 285's I see you are not.

Umm, ok, well they fit and no they don’t rub the cab mount or the UCA.
