Which of these would look better on a truck? I'm guessing the wet look one. I'd like to get it from Dollar General cause the nearest Walmart or other store is about 40 minutes away. IMG_0523.jpgIMG_0524.jpg

Just finished cleaning my tires and touching up my fender flares cause they were pretty faded. Here are a few pics. The first two are of the tires after I brushed them with the cleaning liquid for the second or third time (you can imagine how nasty it was the first time). The next three pictures are after I was finished. I'm very happy with how it turned out because the tires were very brown. Maybe @Casper66 noticed them when we talked for a bit.

IMG_0548.jpg I'm thinking about putting a lightbar above my windshield without homemade mounts. Something like that (but metal of course). Should I go for it or no?

Doesn't hurt to try. I know there a number of companies that make mounts for 2nd gens. I don't know what exists for 1st gens.

A few companies make them but they are all upwards of $100.

That sounds about right. Materials are cheap. Labor, R&D, and everything involved with owning/running a business isn't.

I think I have one somewhere in the shop down on our farm but I couldn't find it yesterday. I'll just have to keep looking. Also, how comfortable would you be with drilling a hole behind the headliner at the door? I just wanna make sure it won't affect anything too much.

Can you find a design someone has already made and bastardize that? Then you will know exactly where you should be drilling. :notsure:

Is the roof two layers separated by an air gap or just one? Most mounts like you're looking to make drill into the door frame and you install rivnuts to bolt the mount to.

I talked to a few people so I have the general idea.
That's what I'm planning on doing. I just wanna make sure it won't hurt anything or cause any problems. I doubt it would but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

If you're planning on drilling in the same spot that they would normally install, I don't foresee any issues. I'd suggest picking up a set of drill stops if you don't have any already.

Does anyone know of a stretch or abandoned railroad tracks around this area that might be a good spot for a photo shoot?

    Thanks.

Not sure about specifically railroad tracks but I've seen people take some good pictures with mountains and fields in the background around here

I think I hear some people talk about mountain roads like Skyline Drive. Never actually seen it in person though. I also know a lot of people around here just use family farms like this picture.IMG_0337.jpg
