    Speaking of jeeps... the one you see there was just some random dude we passed on the trail. He was alone, and had never wheeled before. Ever. He rode with us for a good long time, and did well. He did smash a tube step and lost a fender. Ha ha. Also never aired down.

    So here's what I learned.

    • Very pleased with the truck overall. It ate up everything I pointed it at.
    • IFS skid, lower control arms, trailer hitch, and sliders took a beating. Glad they were there. Never touched the trans skid, the stock t-case "skid", rear bumper, or my driveshaft.
    • My wheels got beat to hell. Thanks skinny tires.
    • 2nd gens are fat. 1st gens are skinny. Yesterday, it paid to be skinny.
    • AOP is awesome. Had a freaking blast.

    • Gears would be awesome for this type of terrain. 4L 1st gear was fine, but it was a lot of pedal work. Would be awesome to have a little better crawl gear.

    It was really interesting to see the different vehicle shapes, and how much difference they make on an obstacle. We has a pretty diverse group with two FJs, three 2nd gens, and my pile.
