Anyone have any idea if there are any aftermarket companies working on a supercharger for the 3.5? Thanks, Brian.

I'm hoping sooner than later Toyota will come out with a TRD system.

    Extreme Build in Progress!
I've put custom turbo's on a few different cars I've owned. Haven't ruled out the possibility of putting one on my 3rd gen either. Anything can happen when I get bored. Looks like there's plenty room for a TT set-up with front mount intercooler on these trucks. Fill-up that BIG GRILLE with that kinda stuff...

Someone has to be working on one! They are super popular here in Northern Cali!!! I want one to help with the new motors lack of low end power. My 17 is my first Taco. We have some second gens as work trucks at the company I work for. They feel like they have much better low end power. I bet a roots style on the 3.5 would make these trucks silly fun!

Do you need to know, or care?
4 cyl shouldn't be a major issue, but the 3.5 would be a problem. So far I haven't seen anybody jump into a design, between the Otto/Atkinson cycles and Direct/Port injection, I can see how it may be difficult.
URD has talked about it, but nothing so far.

Pretty sure I read on here somewhere that Toyota isn't planning on developing anything for the 3rd gen.... But then again, this is my recall and TW info I'm going off of, so take it with a grain of salt. College was a good time, but I didn't do my memory any favors. :rasta:

Magnuson is working on the 3.5 now that the 5th gen 4Runner blower will go on sale around December of this year. 80 hp is predicted on the 3.5L as what is predicted on the 4Runner even though it actually made more then expected: 336 whp and 306 ft-lbs at the wheels with 6 psi for the 4Runner and CARB legal on 91 Octane pump gas

Also the Magnuson is doing the ecu tune so no worries about the crappy Bully Dog or Toyota reflash.
