Hadn't wandered around Stampede Pass much, so I decided to take a short jaunt around the area. Started too late in the day, and gas was running low, but I drove around a good bit. 54/5400, 5000, 5080, 5084, 5083, 5480 and around Lost Lake as well. Saw a herd of elk, too. Mix of rain and sun. Couple rough spots in the roads, but nothing too bad. 5080 was pretty overgrown, so I picked up a fair amount of pinstriping going down that one.

Also saw an awesome Toyota van while stuck in traffic on the way back. 4WD, diesel, RHD. Way cooler than a Tacoma (or 80 series) ;) Think is was called a MasterAce Surf?

*Edit: it looked just like this! Actually... that might be the exact one.

Good eye, thank you Nick! Yep, still casually looking. I'd snag that, but there are some internal differences (crank, cam, oil pump, squirters, etc) between the turbo and non-turbo versions.

Probably wouldn't be hard to throw a turbo on, but it wouldn't be as stout, either. I'd rather just find a 4bd1t ready to go than build a weaker one or try to source conversion parts.

    Happy Monday, all!

I know there was talk a month or two ago about doing something around September, but before the snow hits, any plans on a Gallagher (or other) run?

Ahhh I do see now that there is some differences. I only quickly googled it before I posted lol. Still sounds like you could add a turbo and the plumbing, just the tune couldn't be as high. Or just wait for the right one. I just saw this one in the random browsing of auto parts lol

Well I'm pulling out on the current house deal. Inspection was bad. Too much work to do and the old man seller is very stubborn. Trying for a different house tomorrow.

Get this, my apt lease is up on Oct 31st and to go to a month to month lease they say it will be $6300 per month. And that ain't a typo. That shouldn't be legal.

You are better off putting everthing in storage and renting a small camper trailer until you find a place. $6300 is absurd.

I'm willing to bet they came up with that price since they probably have a 10page list of names waiting to get in and encourage you to sign another 6month lease or GTFO.

My dad said he would tow his camper trailer over here. It's kind of small for us and two cats. Yes, thought about getting a cheap motel or something that allows pets. Or even get another short term rental that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to get out of the lease. This apartment has a two months rent fee to get out of a lease early, which would be $3600. fuckers.
