To add a very important note here, this applies to automatic weapons produced and registered before 1986 only. There is currently no legal way to own a full auto which was produced after 1986 as a civilian unless you are LEO or Military, or unless you declare yourself as a firearms dealer and pay SOT class 3 taxes (which is a bottomless money pit).

Other option is using a parts kit, say an RPK, then drilling the right holes in the right spots in your 60% receiver, and viola... an unlicensed, untraced, illegal LMG.

RIP for those who have passed, good luck to those that have been wounded.

It's sad to me that this puke didn't survive to see a gas chamber, lethal injection, thousand cuts, rabid dogs, or human centipede.

A very tragic Monday. My thoughts and hopes go out to every person involved.

I truly fear for where this country is headed.

I hope the reactions and statements by political leaders of today and the days following are well thought out, respectful, and productive to dealing with such a horrific massacre. The victims of this tradegy deserve gracious support.

This is horrible. What is hard about these situations is the shooter rarely survives to face justice. While capturing them alive may be more dangerous than it's worth, it would be good to figure out what the hell is wrong with them. We can only speculate as to the motives when they are dead.

Supposed to go to a music festival this weekend. Has me rethinking.

Thoughts and prayers out to the families of those affected by this tragic event.

Keep your head on a swivel and stay near the outside of the crowd with an easy escape route.
Gotta keep ‘copy-cat’ responses in mind now too.
Carry at least 1 TQ per person if possible.

Don't let things like this dictate your life. That's when the shooters win. But I do understand where your coming from. I always plan my escape at all events and try to get seats near emergency exits.
