Mmmmmm Duck dinner!

 

I believe ours opened this weekend too.

Damn must be nice! We have to wait until November for our main season.

I'm seeing this 25 coming next december... I hope I'll be wise as you haha

Yup! Season opened last week end, but it is still too early, ducks are not moving very much...

Won't happen tonight... morning hunt is always better than evening, but I wanted to go so bad haha. They were flying high, too high, and in small groups. I think I saw 5 ducks in the whole evening... I'll have to wait a bit for colder weather...

 

When you finally score some delicious duck meat feel free to send some.....

 

Y’all some lucky people but it makes sense when it’ll get cold soon and start pushing them south for all of us down here.

 

I have never cooked one. I always breast them out and jerky them. Probably because the guy that got me into waterfowl hunting convinced me they taste like liver plain.

Found an old crappy cell phone pic of me several years ago...it was am early morning throwing decoys in the marsh.



This is what I bagged that day...to date it is still probably one of the prettiest mallards I have taken.

The only way I've ever had duck is at this little Chinese place in Chicago, I try to go every time I visit my sister in the city, some of the best food I've ever had!

Morning! I'm going to buy a pressure washer today, because this garden hose isn't cutting it anymore with all this muddy wheeling.

 

Spend the cheese & get a good one. I learned the hard way that you get what u pay for when it comes to these.

 

Yeah, I was going to go with the harbor freight one which has decent reviews, but instead I'm gonna spend a little more and get a Ryobi one. Nothing crazy, but something powerful enough to effectively wash my truck and handle small tasks around the house.

 

If you can still snag the 3100 psi Subaru from Costco, do it!!! ( they have also carried a very similar one with a Honda motor at my local warehouse). It works great and the electric start spoils me!

 

even the pressure washer wont clean the mud from the frame.....good old fashion spray bottle and brush is the way to go
