Not yet, however LVPD is not treating it as an act of terrorism which boggles my mind.

    Terrorism has a political motive

    No signs of such here

Perfect case of domestic terrorism but the Patriot Act's definition of domestic terrorism is very broad.

Wow my cousin was there. Thankfully I was able to get in touch with her and she’s ok. Completely terrified and Shooken up, but safe.

I can’t even believe this..it’s sickening. It’s incredible how short life is. I’m supposed to go to a concert in Austin TX, I’d be lying if I didn’t say I was scared of a copycat.

"Terrorism is defined as the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims."
Now while he may not have committed an act of terrorism according to the direct definition, he still covered the other parts pretty well. Terrorist in my eyes.

I don't disagree I'm just offering a probable reason why it's being described or not described a certain way

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
The family is just as confused as the LEO's are on motive.

ISIS is claiming responsibility saying he converted months ago, but them saying that might just be a publicity stunt.

A tourniquet is not always the right thing to do to stop bleeding.......I wont go into all the details of what to do depending on the wounds etc..especially if it is a gunshot wound.......but what I carry in my daily bag as a Must Have and always in my vehicles is this:
    http://quikclot.com/Products#military
And this is a one handed tourniquet in case you can't use two:

I hear ya, really sad no matter which way it's spun. It's too bad these suicidal assholes don't just off themselves first and spare the innocent.

    Yes, absolutely yes.

The tourniquet should only be used as a last ditch effort to stop the causality from bleeding out. Just remember, someone could loose a limb because of what you are doing. But a lost limb is better than death. This is for those official shit has actually hit the fan situations.

It's been a while but what I remember is...

apply a bandage/quickclot/packing. If bleeding persists, pressure bandage over what you got. If bleeding persists, apply the tourniquet.

But wound and situation always dictates.... it's a total shit show when things go wrong.

Interesting. Well, it looks like he had full auto, which makes me wonder what his motives were. ANTIFA? ISIS? Who would do this? Maybe he was just crazy, but how did he get those rifle/s? You can get full auto, but you have to do tons of paperwork, background checks, $200 fee, processing time and not to mention the cost of the rifle is as much as a car. Just doesn't seem like the route he's go, plus the ATF would know you have it, know you're backround, and were you live etc..

    False.
There are numerous scholarly articles on the topic of the use of tourniquets and limb loss (mostly out of the combat theater). In these cases the limb was lost due to reasons OTHER than the application of the tourniquet itself. Now, if you leave the TQ on for, say, 24 hours, yeah there's going to be damage. If you have a TQ, you have a direct admit to surgical resources so it won't be left on. The goal is to stop BOTH venous and arterial bleeding (especially if you know that the TQ will remain on for an extended period of time), hence HIGH and TIGHT and no distal pulses in the applied limb.
This is where training comes into the arena. You need to know when to apply a TQ (bright red blood that is spurting). If this is happening, forego wound packing/bandaging and go straight to the TQ. An average man can lose conscious due to blood loss in 2 minutes and die within 5 minutes if an artery is affected.

There’s Such a divide in our country that some people are actually happy this happened, claiming it was deserved and just karma. What awful things to say in the wake of a travesty
