Wow, I'm surprised he got perma for that but it was annoying how he could never keep the trash talk about the game, teams, or players and instead had to throw constant insults towards people and their families.

 

They aren't getting paid to go to the white house nor are they required to stand for the national anthem. If the league wants to mandate those things, they can. However, again, by getting upset about it all you do is being attention to them and their cause. If you and everyone else ignore it, they'll stop and probably find a more productive way to express their opinion.

Long and short, just enjoy the game and ignore the political statements unless you want to assist their cause.
